Older version (pre-update) internet explorer

Wow...about 2 hours into this and I cannot find older verisions on Inet Exp.

Is there an easy way to do this ?

I'd love to install the old pre-update verision on my Verizon Saga....the current one has some issues with viewing that are driving me bonkers.

if your talking about the view being to large (lots of scrolling needed)...there is a hack to drop it down to 320x320.

I'm nervous about hacks...I'm not too much into the modifcation side of this thing. Actually I about lost some stuff on the device due to the update that I thought sync-ing on the wire would have backed up ?

Would the hack only effect internet or all apps display settings ?

great find- whatever MORON at MS that decided the default to use on a MOBILE browser should be 1024x768 clearly should be fired. seems they do that on all devices. Then the people at samsung and verizon who didn't notice and reset the registry to 320x320 should also get some demerits.

I downloaded Skyfire today and will tinker with it for a bit.

I guess for the hack I need the regedit program...I'll be trying that eventually I guess.

ie8 hates this site.

try turning on compatiability mode (i think that's what it's called)- it helps a bunch.

as far as browsers on the phone- I really enjoy iris browser. It uses the same open source "guts" as the iPhone's browser. (in fact many websites identify you as an iPhone when using it). The UI is a bit rough still but getting the iPhone guts is nice.

I wish Iris was the alternate on the rom instead of opera.
