battery meter that works?

the saga doesn't use the default WM mechanism to measure/record/report battery %

anyone find a program that can do it - I'd love a today sreen plug, task bar item, or popup that can tell me.

I know that the samsung today screen plugin will give you the % on the settings tab. But i really hate having to use the big 4 tab plug in just to get that one thing.

Wisebar advanced desktop looks like it has the ability to read the registry value and report it on a widget but I can't use that for other reasons. So is there a simple product that can read and report a registry value on the today screen?

anyone....

thanks- neat plugin- but no dice- it does the wrong thing like pretty much all the others.

I think we (I...) need to find something that reads a registry value and spits it out. Samsung drops the value in a registry value. (i haven't checked the new rom but assume it's still there).

Wisbar advanced desktop allows you to make a 'widget' (not sure of the term honestly)- like the ones that metrix does . (basically you pick a graphic for the icon and then tell it to read the registry value and then put it on top or next to the icon). It's actually pretty neat but the problem I have is it takes over the whole home screen and that's just a pain in my butt becasue of other plug ins i need.

I'll try batt- - but i think i tried it before and it suffered like all the rest and is not accurate on the saga.

Right now I installed it and it says 80% whereas the saga today plugin says 70%. That's typical (but I'll give it a little time as could just be a rounding error to the nearest 10%). Usually towards the end of the day the meters that use the "normal" functions gets much worse.

just to follow up- Batti is like all the rest and is not accurate. Right now it still says 80% while the samsung today plug in says 62%. Typical behavior for 3rd party apps.

Interestingly Batti shows a screen with voltage and has 0.000- i wonder if the normal method is to interpolate battery level from voltage drop. And samsung obviously is doing something else to monitor the battery.
