When following Samsung's directions, I run into trouble on step 5 (downloading the update to the phone). The installer gives me the following error message:
"FLASH_DOWNLOADER_Send_PartitionInfo Fail !!!"
and my Saga locks up. I'm able to soft reset without losing any data. I've tried it on both Vista and XP with the same outcome.

Has anyone else gotten this error?
Anyone have any thoughts?
Has anyone tried using a VM to install the update?
How about boot camp on a Mac?

I'm following up with the Samsung folks on Monday, but I thought you guys might be quicker.

my advice is not to do the update unless you WANT to break the phone. Most of us feel this update is garbage and just not worth it.

I just suggest you don't do the update. you cant go back. the GPS sucks.
If you really want the update done and cant make it happen, I'll trade you mine (updated) for your non updated one.
