Sprite Backup Locking up my Saga

I have a new problem, I went to do a backup using Sprite (do this all the time) and now I get a message that Sprite cannot find and open it's start file and that if it continues I should replace the file. The problem is the program keeps having the phone try to start by shuting off and restarting and again giving the same message over and over and over and over and over, you get the idea. I have taken the battery out, for about an hour, and I still get the same thing. There is no way to open the files and get to the point to do a hard reset or anything else. Has anyone else run into this? I am about to call VZW and get a replacement sent out and hope that I can restore my info from a backup I already have. If anyone has another idea please let me know.
Thanks

I had to do a hard reset to it. If you can't get into the phone and find that spot where they put the rest under phone>menu>options>security>clear all data, you can hold the D pad button down and then press the soft reset button on the side and then release the side button, keep holding the D pad, and wait until the unit asks if you want to reformat. Hit the send key and it will do the hard reset. Most may know this, I did not.
