SMS Timestamp Incorrect after Update

I live on the west coast (Pacific Time Zone), and all my text messages are being received in Eastern Time.

Calls logs are fine. This seems to be just for SMS.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Saga has had some time zone issues since release... best option seems to be to disable the auto-timezone stuffs and just go manual.

I can't figure out how to disable it. Can you tell me how?

to manually set time zone info:

go to the phone dialer screen.

menu
options
services tab
scroll down to time
hit the change settings button.
check manual for timezone setting
(you can leave auto for time setting and it will just update the minutes and seconds)

Thanks!

Although it didn't seem to fix the problem. I called Verizon and they had no idea, either. They're gonna look into it and get back to me. Not holding my breath.

my vote (since it's like 5 hrs off and going manual on the saga didn't fix it) is something on their message server got fubared. Just happened to occur at the same time as your upgrade. Good luck

Thanks. And I think you're probably right.

I just REALLY don't want to hard reset my phone again.

no one at verizon got back to you yet?

they have people that they can escalate you to that can look right into the messaging switch you are assigned to and fiddle with your settings.

Try to reprogram at *228.

if a hard reset and reprogram dont work, it almost has to be the swtich has bad settings for you and some how has you locked to eastern time.
