It was just there after I did the update, I didn't need to enable anything. I don't know if finger scrolling works in IE, I never use it. As far as messanging goes, only the message lists within each messaging account are flickable, not the body of the message itself.
But as far as getting the antenna in the thing to see more sats I dont think there's much to be done there except toss it way out far on your dash so it's got the best view of the sky- but then you can't watch along so it certainly isn't all that helpfull that way.
Another solution is to use a wide-band external cellular antenna that gets decent reception in the GPS band (which happens to be between the common cell bands). For the antenna, I've used a RadioShack 17-345 stuck to the moonroof with great results, but others should work. For the adapter, wpsantennas.com sells it.

I think Verizon enabled both GPS and aGPS for the Omnia with the CF03 f/w. Did Verizon's Saga CE07 f/w enable GPS but not aGPS? I wonder if the quickGPS that some adapted to the Omnia prior to the official firmware update might work on the Saga -- probably not, though (different GPS hardware, I think).
nope there's no agps. But there is a version of quickgps hacked that works for the saga. It's posted here in a few places and helps tremendously. That and the gps toggle today plug in make the gps quite pleasant to use for me.
Not instant on at all. More like a 5 year old GPS unit. But very usuable understanding it's the limitations that still exist.

Do you mean the Omnia one (one on the Omnia forums)?
I updated the phone last night. The update has destroyed the reception on the phone. Other Verizon phones in the same room get 3-4 signal bars, the i770 0-1 bar. Phone has been hard reset and repprogrammed/updated several times in an attempt to fix the issue.
After a call to Verizon support, it would appear that many folks are having similar reception problems after the update. So much so that they let me upgrade 2 months early (technically 4 months, as they always let you upgrade 2 months early anyway). I have a TP2 on the way... while I did like the i770, the bugs and other issues have taken their toll on me.
Other thoughts on the update:
The finger scrolling is ok, but ftouchflo worked MUCH better.
I tried to update the phone last night. Sine the reboot it wont allow me to use the keypad or any "outlook" functions. It keeps giving me memory errors no matter what I try. I've gone into the task manager and closed everything but still no luck. I called verizon and they tried to have me do a hard reset but I can't even do that! So a new phone is on the way. I'm not sure if it's worth messing with it again or not!
Any of you guys have any suggestions how I can fix the memory issues? It reads that it has plenty of memory since it has no programs installed however it "thinks" it is low.

My suggestion is wait for the replacement unit and hope that it is on the old version... then leave it on that version. I believe I have heard of a rare few that have not had issues with updating, but the majority wish they hadn't done it. Frankly the "enhancements" are not worth risking the stability of your phone.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Reason: fix grammar so it makes better sense
Yesterday I was driving in very cloudy and rainy conditions (we no longer have sun in Boston), popped my Saga on the dashboard and had a 5-6 satellite lock in about 3 minutes while driving.
How do you tell how many satellites you have locked?
Google Maps displays the number of locked satellites on the upper right. I had 7 today. My Saga's GPS was useless until I installed the hack in this thread:
Well after I "bricked" my first Saga when trying to do this update only because I wanted to unlock the GPS function in Google maps I got a new unit from Verizon. It looks like this one has the update already installed. I installed the "google mobile package" just like I did the last time only this time it says google maps and you tube is not available for my device. However I did this on the old Saga with no problems. Now I can't even use the google maps application.

in your browser on the phone go to Google
on top it says "web, images, local, more..."
click more
click maps
WHHOOOAAA- never mind- the link doesn't work anymore- that's something wrong on googles end- I just downloaded and reinstalled after a hard reset a few days ago and that linked worked fine...
Yah it's weird... I kept looking around and found a google maps cab and also one for you tube and installed them after the "google app" was installed. And now it works fine... kinda strange...
I found the issue- for some reason you can't use opera on the google website to get the maps cab. But if you use internet exporer it allows it. I am not sure if opera worked before- I can't recall what I might have used before.
