Large right menu for fingers

just wanted to share this tip to enlarge the right menu..
1:using a reg editor go to hkey local machine/system/gwe/menu/popfont
2: change the string value Ht to 1200 and save
3: reset device

the menu is much larger and easier to tap with your finger tip

Does it enlarge every right menu, or just the one on the Today screen?

Every right menu. sorry I cant post any pics. If anyone can do the hack and post pics i would really be grateful. This is reversible so If you dont like the menu just put the original value back in and restart.

I just changed mine to 950.
The original value is 800.

Opps just bumped it up to 1200 and I like it better.

Nice little tip.

Thanks

Mark

I've never used a reg editor so I need some help.
1)How do you call up a reg editor in the I760?
2)how do I access the hkey local...?

I like the idea of larger right screens--using a finger is so much more user friendly. I guess the engineers who designed the interface have styluses for fingers. I like the I760, but the interface needs to be more iPhone like.

first you'll need to download a reg editor.

here's one choice

PHM Registry Editor : Pocket PC Edition

You can make registry changes with a variety of programs...you can use PHM Registry Editor (Regedit, see link one thread above) or TotalCommander. Regedit is a little easier to use.

MAKE REGISTRY CHANGES WITH CAUTION! You can hose your device with registry changes. Always make a backup of a stable registry before you make ANY changes.

To make registry changes with Regedit, just open the program and you will see the registry tree. These are HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT (HKCR), HKEY_CURRENT_USER (HKCU), HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (HKLM), HKEY_USERS (HKU). These are where the registry keys reside. Then select the string you want to change, edit the value and save.

To make changes in Total Commander, double click on the folder titled "\\". Double click on the "registry" folder, and you will see the keys with abbreviated names (HKCR, HKCU, etc.) Navigate by double clicking. Change a value by double-clicking the value.
