I searched but I didnt find anything specifically on this issue. I know on the Q you had to edit the registry to remove the Message Sent window that comes up after you send a text message. Is there any easier way to do this on the i760 or do we still need to edit the registry? thanks
Most likely it will be a registry edit, as I haven't seen a setting to change it, although I only used the built in SMS app for about 10 messages (then I went back to the threaded app that I use).
Part of my setup guide and phone tools for the i730 was disabling that message, and I will be including it in the i760 MRailing Phone tools...

You have to do the following unless you want to use phone alarm to control the sent message alert. I've tried both and they work.
Thanks for confirming that key works, it's the same in the phone tools from the i730.

Hey guys, I'm a bit confused I guess you could say, but for the registry edit listed above, this setting isn't in the i760 registry. Should it be created entirely and if so what are the attributes that it should be created with? In terms of key, string, etc.
you need to create a new key named Settings and inside that create a new string named as stated above the SMSNoSentMsg with a value of 1. it works as I verified it on my 760 which I am posting from now
I have been reading this form for about 21/2 years and i have to say this is the best place to find info. Thanks to all that helped me get my I730 working great. My I760 is at Fedx waiting for me.
I hope this helps you this is what I did on my I730 and from the posts up top it should work with the I760. This will be one of the first things I do when I get my I760.
for those who hate the "Message Sent" notification after sending an SMS, this is the steps to remove the Message Sentbubble notification...this is the STEP by STEP method to do it in case some of you guys dont get it right...
1. First, you will need to download a Registry Editor to help you do it...
a good one will be the freeware PHM Registry Editor
or for those who got the Resco Explorer, you can use the Registry Editor that comes with it...
2. using the Registry Editor, navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox
3. Next, click on Inbox (make sure the Inbox is highlighted) and select Edit, New Key
4. Name the New Key as "Settings"
5. Click on "Settings" (make sure the Settings is highlighted) and select Edit, New String Value
6. On "Value name:", key in SMSNoSentMsg and in "Value data", key in 1
7. Soft reset your device and test it with one SMS, and you will notice that the SMS Sent bubble is being disabled

This is something that I will include again in my Phone Tools (PHM Registry Editor ) when released, but until then, there are some available for free as Sleeve pointed out.

Yeah I actually thought about it and figured I needed to create the key and values. Worked just fine, thanks for the help.

This is probably a stupid question but I'll ask it anyway... Will this type of reg edit cause any instability with the phone? I hate that little popup and would really like to get rid of it, but I don't want to create any problems for my new phone.
I'm guessing it's safe or you guys wouldn't be doing it, right?
