rpodos, did you get a chance to try this yet? I was hunting around the pocketmax website for the latest beta, build 205, that is supposedly posted with the profile fix, but can't seem to find it.
I tried with v1.64... didn't work, but I may not have done it as Bruce intended. I have posted same on his support forum, and will try whatever he advises.

Here is another experience. I received my i760 this week (BTW it is version 7.11). The phone paired immediately and correctly with my Jabra BT350 and my 2005 Acura TL HandsFreeLink system. I experienced the failure documented in this topic with no automatic switching between devices. So, I called vzw customer service. The rep agreed that this is a problem and immediately called Samsung Customer Service. Samsung Customer Service Level 2 stated that “this is how the phone is programmed and there is no way to switch devices automatically” I got the impression that the rep I spoke with was giving the party line. He did not say the phone was flawed. He did not say this feature was intentional. I think he was just stating the current capability of the phone without acknowledging a design or implementation error. When asked about the possibility of a future fix I was told that Customer Service has no visibility into planned software releases. I got no info that would lead me to believe this problem will be resolved soon or even if it is being addressed. I asked what I could do to get increased visibility and attention for this issue. I was told that nothing else could be done with Customer Service and my only alternative is to write a letter to “Corporate Headquarters”. I think I will try it with a cc to Verizon. Other than this issue I am very happy with the i760. Also, I must point out that all of my customer service conversations were with very friendly and courteous people who clearly had English as their first language.
A form letter of this sort might not be a bad idea. If someone could compose one that is clear, concise, and friendly I'd gladly slap a signature and a stamp on it myself.
Where should it be mailed for the most appropriate exposure. Samsung has many locations across the globe.

I got a new TomTom GPS for christmas and wanted to pair it with my phone. From what I am reading, if I do this, it will not automatically connect to my Plantronics Voyager headset (which I use in my office) unless I fidget with it and reset the "headset" check. Am I correct here? I know my 730 had no problems with multiple headset devices, it would just connect to whichever was nearby.

Thanks!
You won't have a problem since your GPS is not a "headset". You can have multiple BT device types without any problem. The conflict occurs when you have multiple "headset" devices. The i760 won't automatically switch from one headset to another.
I have 3 BT devices paired on my i760 (Plantronics 855 headset, Freedom Mini GPS and my laptop) each of them connect automatically and can be connected simultaneously without any issues.

I thought I had read in a previous message that the problem was not only the inability to have the i760 switch between multiple bluetooth handsfree devices, but that it would not automatically reconnect with the same device once you disconnect, e.g. leave your car awhile and then get back in.
I haven't been using a bluetooth headphone for awhile with my i730, but have only been using it with the with the bluetooth handsfree built into my Camry audio system. I have come to rely on this automatic reconnection since I'm in and out of the car a lot and have been holding off on getting an i760 because I was under the impression that it would not automatically reconnect.
Well my car is coming up as a "headset" since its cheap bluetooth stereo lets me answer the phone. Doesn't the GPS come up as a "headset" to utilize its satelite mic and to place calls etc? I think its probably much better than the one built into my stereo.

Am I mistaken?
Just don't turn off BT on either the i760 or the Camry... you should be fine.
(I think)

I only have 1 BT headset, and once it disconnects (handsfree gets unchecked), it will not automatically reconnect.
Right... but what makes it disconnect? I figure it is either turning off BT on the i760, or turning off the BT device. I have found that just leaving range doesn't cause 'handsfree' to get unchecked.

I have a Jabra BT150 and a BT3030 and if I select one on the Bluetooth menu for handsfree, then turn it off and go to the other, it will show it being paired and pressing the SEND button will wake the phone but it will not 'work' until I go back into settings, pick that BT device, re-select handsfree and click on SAVE. So today, to put pressure on Samsung/further document this problem, I called up to have them help me fix this problem. After spending 20 minutes on the phone with level 2 support and his supervisor, I was told it might be a software issue (and that we needed to do a hard reset on the phone to test that) or it could be a compatibility issue (since they only test their products, not third party, like Jabra). He said if I had Samsung devices, there would be no problem.
So two questions:
1) Has anyone tried doing a hard reset to see if this fixed the problem?
2) Has anyone bought/tested two Samsung BT devices to see if they 'autoswitch' like this person told me? This would really put the final nail in the coffin if, after being told they would work, they wouldn't! I would love to see hundreds of people buy two or more of their devices then return them because they did not work. Maybe then they would fix the software/hardware issue...
Yes, I've done hard resets. It doesn't do anything except make me start all over.
BS on the 2 Samsung devices. Bluetooth is supposed to be a standard so you aren't tied to a company's proprietary devices. If they did not follow the standard that's their problem and they need to address it.
