At long last, we are now able to move forward with plans to “put an i760 in the hands of MRailing and SuperDave!

Following all of the discussion in the earlier thread, and in communication with all parties concerned, here is how we will proceed…


In cooperation with Convergent, owner of the site, we will leave these links in this thread until the release day, or until a total of $550 per person is reached. Convergent will then match the funds up to the total for the i760. So if on release day, donations to either MRailing or SuperDave haven’t reached their total, then Convergent will match the funds up to the total of the i760 retail price.

Since we still aren’t 100% for sure about the total retail price, but it’s been rumored at $519 and $599, we will set $550 as a maximum amount. SuperDave and Mrailing will post progress as the time moves forward with total amounts, and once either $550 is reached, or the release day comes, the links will be removed from the this thread.

Again, please know that donating does not obligate either Mrailing or SuperDave to provide you with free tech support! Make a donation as a way of expressing thanks for their past abundant support and assistance, and to assure they have the i760, so that they will be “tempted” to support this new device!

I am an infrequent poster but I lurk and I'm throwing in little cash to both of them, so hopefully they will both continue their very helpful work!

I'm not sure if I'm going to get the i760, but if SuperDave & Mrailing have it, I will at least know what problems I would face if I do decide to switch.

I will also update, I am currently at $338.72 with 22 donations. I am of course eager to get working on the i760, and was hoping to have to it work on while sitting on the beach at the end of this week, but once released I will still have time to play.
