I don't really see how Seido would be able to put a clip on the back case part and not have lots of problems with it popping off and/or breaking. The case it just not that thick.

I find having the combination of the case and holster works great for me as when I am running around the house or on short trips, I just put the phone in my pocket. When I am walking around, going to work etc.. I use the holster, but 99% of the time, while at work, the phone is out of the holster, sitting on my desk unless I go somewhere and then I simply put it into my pocket.

How is it different from the boxwave case that has a belt clip (but won't allow an extended battery)? The issue can't possibly turn upon whether or not there's an extended battery involved, right?

It doesn't look like there's any way to slide out the keyboard, is there?

If you put that to your head you would have a large flap hanging off your head. It would look like a very large flip phone.

Actually if you look closely the flap would be hanging off your chin. Looks good closed, but open and using the device would be a PITA I think

Well Mark it's either (A) you're lucky, (B) you don't rotate your case much, or (C) I'm unlucky. Perhaps a combination of all 3.

A week or 2 ago I got a 2nd DiscountCell case... it's 1 step up, 2 steps back.

Yes the swivel ratchet is tighter, at least for now. But the actual clip itself is looser! Almost as bad as the original Gobile case I had. So the phone has already popped off my belt when getting out of car.

And the magnet-lock top is just too snug so that the magnet doesn't engage properly as my 1st DiscountCell case did.

So apparently there are quality control issues w/ DiscountCell. I guess for $13 what can you expect!

After 3 months, I'm on case #3 (Gobile + 2 DiscountCell's) and I may have to try another DiscountCell just to try to get one that fires on more cyllinders.

I was really jazzed when I glanced at the case because it has a place to hold my microSD cards. However, creamy makes a great point: I don't think you can use the slide-out keyboard while the phone is in the case. This wouldn't be too bad if the phone easily slid out of the case (like it does on the Discount Cell case); however, I suspect that the case fits tightly around the phone (to keep it in place) such that it is difficult to pull the i760 out of the case.

I'm not sure I want to chance $50 and try out the Pocket Solutions case myself. However, if anyone else is willing to take a gamble on it, please let the rest of us know how it works, especially with respect to the slide-out keyboard.

I'm loving my Discount Cell case after roughly 2 months of use without any problems. Every once in awhile, the i760 switches to landscape if I pull it out of the case wrong. Beyond that, they case has been great. The clip is unobtrusive yet fits my belts very well. The case itself holds the i760 snuggly without making it too difficult to pull the i760 out of the case. IMHO, for the price, you can't go wrong with this case.

Jay, just to confirm, you are correct. You must remove the phone from the case in order to access the keyboard. Found the following pic from here.

I'm curious about this procedure myself, equally I'm curious of your impression of the Seidio case. I will be getting my i760 in the next few days and have been doing the case hunt myself. So many choice, unfortunately none of them are what I'd consider perfect but it looks to me that the Seidio cases have the most going for them them. Good protection for the phone and convience - meaning not having to fight pulling the phone out of a pouch or dealing with flaps hanging all over you.

Please let us know how the surgery goes.

Do you not rotate you phone very much during the day?

If it wasn't for the ratchet on my 1st DiscountCell case getting so loose I'd still be using it relatively happily.

It seems to be hit or miss w/ this case, that's why I think I may have to spring for a 3rd one just to play the odds that it might work better on all fronts. And if/when it does, I agree it's quite a decent case. But I think the low price means that quality control (i.e. consistency) suffers.

The issue with the screen flip is the clasp magnets. With mine, if I brush the phone up against the top/cover (just slowly enough) while I'm taking it out, it will sometimes turn-on & flip the screen. But this doesn't bother me.

4. How do you like the swivel clip? (if you use it) Looks like the kind that sticks out a lot.
5. How snug is the fit, especially w/ extended battery? (One thing nice about DiscountCell case is it's NOT too snug)
6. You've had it for 1 year? Did you use if for another phone first?
7. Is it available anywhere retail? (I don't really do eBay)

Thanks for finding & sharing this case!

No, I generally don't play with the case at all. It stays in the horizontal position on my belt all day.

Has anyone else had problems losing the signal with the aluminum cases?? I had an aluminum case and when the phone was put into the case, the signal was lost!!! I tried to cut the back top part of it off and it still wasn't the best. Has this been the case with leather cases as well for the i 760??

Realizing this thread hasn't been posted to in a while, I'm hoping someone still has eyes on it.

I'm wondering if anyone has run across a nice, professional looking holder for the i760 that holds business cards.

I like the holder Mark suggested and just purchased one, but can't find any cases that accommodate any extras without looking like something Mcguyver cooked up or a damn fanny pack LOL. any suggestions?
