The other gripe is the design of the belt attachment. It is very tight, which is great as it won't easily get knocked off. But there is a gap between the back of the case and the attachment, and I have already tried forcing the case onto my belt only to realize my belt was positioned between the case and the attachment rather than within the grip of the attachment (if that makes any sense).
Just got my OEM case and so far so good. It's a bit snug with the extended battery, but still very usable. The belt clip is also turned up a bit at the end, making it easy to slide on (but it still holds tightly). Overall, I like it much more than the Naztech vinyl case. Odd that it was cheaper.
That's a shame - I was hoping it would work with the extended battery. I can't imagine trying to use the 760 for a day on the regular battery as the extended only gives me 80 percent of day... I'd need to carry 3 regular batteries.
I hope the Seidio holster works with the extended....

It will not fit facing outward with the extended battery.
I can get it to hold my phone facing inward with the ext. batt. A little tricky, as it does not fully seat, but will not fall out. I do not like wearing a holster with the screen facing outward. Probably just paranoid on my part.
There is a lip that slips in between the halves of the phone at the top. BE CAREFUL, though, as this lip scratched the rubberized paint off of my phone while trying to dock it into the holster.
Seems to be made well. Excellent price as well. Go for it.
When it came I realized that the way it hooks into the phone allows you to slide open the phone open and go into landscape mode because the holster hooks into the phone in the little gap between the two sliding layers. However, in order to fit, it lifts the upper layer a bit.

I don't know if it's safe to use.
Have any of you used this?
thanks,

How does it slide?
Is more effort required, or does it slide open and closed cleanly?
I prefer a nice fine leather flip pouch style holster with rotating clip. I have the one that's made for the Blackberry 7130, and it fits great! Just pick one up at the Verizon store. They're 24.99 +tx but with my corp. discount was only 20. Give this a look and try it out since you can try them there at the Verizon store

Sliding it open is no problem. When closing, you have to push it slightly to get it to close all the way. Not really force it, but definitely give it a nudge that you wouldn't have to give when not in this holster.
Received the DiscountCell "Luxe" i760 LUXEQBK case today, and it sucks. Wish I had seen it first. Where to begin..
There's nothing 'custom' about this case. It's built for a phone that is thinner than the i760. It's just a generic holster case.
If I don't turn the i760 off before inserting it into the case, then the pressure from the way-too-tight case presses digit buttons all the way in. Extended battery? Forget it.
The magnet clasp for the flap makes the phone think it's in landscape, so when removing the phone, it takes a moment to flip back to portrait. Just what you don't want to see while trying to read the calling number.
The belt clip isn't a very tight fit, and slips off when getting into a car or leaning against a handrail. Just yanking on the corners of the phone will pull the case off your belt rather than remove the phone.
I wasn't expecting the world for $14, but still, I'd expect something that is sold specifically for this model of phone to at least FIT. Is it that hard to make a case that the phone just slips into? Is there some requirement that you have to grapple and pull at the phone with both hands, pulling the Sword from the Stone?
Do not buy.

Explain custom.
Yes it is tight when you first get it but it works great after a week.
You cant but it in with the screen facing out.
All cases with a magnet require you to insert the screen away from the magnet.

Have no idea what you are talking about. I and others have not had any problems with this case. The clip is a tight fit. You must have size issues for it to come off when getting into a car. Removing the phone by the corners of the phone will take a week to loosen up and then it works great. Better to have a case that is tight at first then too loose.
Try it for a week.
Anyone else that has bought this case have any problems?

I'm right there with Mark, really no major issues so long as you put use it with the screen facing in.
The belt clip is by far the tightest clip I've ever had on a case. I literally have to pry it open a bit just to fit it on my thin belts that I wear with my business clothes. Very secure.
The phone fits snugly in the case, but removing it is certainly not a two-handed affair. An easy tug slips it right out, no drama involved.
I have just received mine a couple of days ago. Fit is snug with extended body but I am sure it will loosen up. Craftsmanship is good...close to Krusell quality I've used for other devices in the past. I haven't experienced any magnet related issues. Swivel is too tight but may loosen over time. It hasn't even come close to falling off my belt. I wish it had a bottom opening for charger cable...I may self install. I like it alot. Price is excellent and shipping is low. I recommend it without hesitation.

Thanks you so I'm not crazy!
I usually don't get excited or even endorse any products but both the holster and case are GREAT and the price is not just good but unbelievable!

I'm happy to hear that other people are pleased with their DC Luxe case. I can only report on my sample of one, which was crap.
I took it into my workshop and tried some extreme measures. I forced the case open with some wooden shims and then forced it more by really stretching and straining the seams. Then I warmed it up a bit to relax the leather. Then I stretched it some more.
Now I can fit my phone in it, and remove the phone with only one hand.
Try this simple test: Remove the phone by grasping the phone only with one hand. If your phone comes out without pulling the case off your belt and dialing digits, your case is larger than mine was. I'm willing to accept I got a defective case, or even the wrong item, but perhaps their unit-to-unit variations are such that they will occasionally ship a too-small case. I don't know, but I'm not going to be convinced that this one case was satisfactory.
"Custom" means I was expecting the case to be purpose-built for this phone.. measurements taken from the phone, and case designed to fit, with holes in the right place. Bespoke, if you're English. A "universal" case makes no such attempt. It just happens to sortof fit. This is that kind of case.
