I'd send it back, but the page does list it as being "made from Polyurethane Leather." Must have missed that in my post-i760 excitement. Oh well, at least it fits the phone.

My advice: avoid Amazon and order directly from NazTech. Meanwhile my quest for a good leather (as in cattle, not chemical) case continues)

On a related note, anybody want to buy a vinyl...err, "polyurethane leather" i760 case for $10?
I doubt this is an amazon thing, the details say this is a naztech case, so I imagine the quality is the same as if you'd buy it directly from the naztech site. I believe I remember reading a review of someone that just got one and mentioned that the quality was not what they expected it to be (from the naztech site directly)

Thanks to the person who suggested the Zune "bag." That works great for pocket carrying, and it fits the i760 better than it fits my Zune.

For a real case, I went ahead and ordered the official i760 case from the Samsung site. I'll report on it when it arrives.

I agree totally. Got mine today and was horribly dissapointed. Look at the photo on their site of the brown one....it even has discoloring at the curves like real leather would. With a price of $32, one would assume..

EDIT - was able to get an RMA and have already sent it back. I'm out $10 for shipping, but at least I'm not out $40 for a naugahide holster.

I went to a VZW store today to see what cases they had. I found a perfect fit... it's the Blackberry 7130 pouch. Fits like a glove. The screen can be in or out. It's sharp looking, well constructed and can be worn vertical or horizontal. It's easy to pull out if worn vertically. I have not tried horizontal.

The price was 19.99. I got a 25% corporate discount.

A little pricey but it is nice... and classy looking...

Yep. I read that too, but I thought this was a leather version of the case. Th product was listed as "NazTech Universal Bravo H5 Horizontal Brown Leather Case...," so I assumed it was leather. That was my mistake (there was a bullet point that indicated that it was plastic). I couldn't find an indication of the material anywhere on the NazTech site and finally just e-mailed them.

Still, as far as pleather goes, this is pretty bad. I'd put the quality on par with the $10 cases you see in mall kiosks or at computer shows. I'm going to stick it up in the Garage Sale forum when I get a chance.

Here's hoping the Samsung OEM case gets good reviews. Until then, my i760 is going to live in my coat pocket.

That sucks. If the original price is up around 40 bucks, you'd expect the pleather to at least be higher quality pleather (is that an oxymoron?) Anyways, thats too bad, mine is already on the way as well. Not that I need it to feel great, as long as it protects it better than nothing...I just feel odd carrying around my phone with no protection what-so-ever.

Got mine today and installed them. I've never used them before, but I'm pretty impressed with the way they fit. I'm sure they'll prevent the normal nicks and scratches from everyday use. I'd recommend them for those that like to pocket the device and keep it looking new.

Eww, the Naztech Bravo H5 I just got is nasty vinyl... I had nothing so I'll keep using it until I get something better but it really is crappy for the price.

Also I was having issues with the magnetic closure like in the H5 waking the phone all the time while holstered. (mine got way worse battery life in the H5 today will less usage)

There is a regedit for some devices to disable wake on slide open but is there one that works on the i760?

That looks great! That is pretty much what I want. I carry it in my pocket and would like to continue to do that, and the screen shield seems like a must.

The full body shield of the i730 looks great, has anyone had that? I might go for that when the i760 gets a full body shield.

Basically, I just want something to cover my screen and protect it, but if there's something superslim that can protect the entire thing, that'd be even better.

Cheap enough! When I bought my Q I bought the Verizon leather pouch. I ended up using the cheapo plastic holster that came with it and it worked great. This looks similar, it worked great for my Q. The only problem with it, and people warned me, is that it scratched the heck out of the phone on the points of contact. I wasn't so worried about my silver Q, but I'm a bit concerned about this pretty new black i760.

What do you think about the scratch issue after using this?

Thanks for the tip! That looks exactly like what I was looking for, however, I prefer my screen facing in. Will the phone fit screen in? I bought a simple black leather horizontal pouch off eBay for 5.95 plus 5.95 shipping and I am still waiting for delivery.

The holster I buy needs to rotate horizontal and use the holster clip holes Samsung designed into the phone - one just above the OK button, and one behind the send button. Still looking...

Not a problem.

1. it hols the phone with less presher points as did on the i730.
2. The silver on the i730 was painted on and white plastic under it. I think the i760 is black all the way thru.

At first I thought it would fit facing in. But it may push some buttons if you do this. It does snap in but I will keep my display facing out.

I also just received this holster and am quite pleased thus far. Based on comments regarding the Samsung POS, we'll need to wait and see for durability but it appears to be built well. Screen out is a bummer but I think I can live with that for the convenience of a hip holster akin to my older i730.

Yep, I'm definitely placing an order for one. I was most happy with the cheapo plastic one that came with my Moto Q than I was with the expensive leather pouch I bought for it.

These two cases were posted earlier in this thread, although they were from a different seller, who was charging more.

CarryMobie Leather Case for Samsung SCH i760 Sleeve - (eBay item 150175806870 end time Nov-01-07 13:02:15 PDT)

CarryMobile Leather Case for Samsung SCH i760 Special - (eBay item 150175806961 end time Oct-28-07 12:55:19 PDT)

I am more interested in the first case--the one without the extra leather piece covering the screen.

I am wondering if the first case slides open like the second one, or of there is no access to the keyboard whatsoever with the first case. I have e-mailed the seller, but thought I would check here to see if anyone has received one yet, or if anyone here has found out the answer to this question some other way.

Thanks.
