I just went to best buy the other night, and obviously they didn't have an i760 specific case so I got one that looked like it might fit good. It's for an HTC HTC Leather Case...turns out it fits pretty nicely. I was a little skeptical about buying it after reading reviews about cases with magnets messing up the screen, but I figured I'd try...the magnet only switchs the phone to landscape when it is in a certain position, the way I keep my phone with the screen closer to me, everything works out great, really the only complaint I may have is the fact that the belt clip is pretty stiff...but otherwise a good purchase.

I bought the same case on Saturday. The phone fits well and does not slide. Also, the magnets are strong - the flap does not open on its own.
I concur with the stiff belt clip, but I don't really see any issues with it. The case is comfortable to wear and has a relatively low profile.
Not sure what they'll have to offer but Samsung is supposed to enable the i760 accesories link on their site this Friday.
Actually if you search their site the accesories are there. The stylus, battery, desktop charger, and a leather pouch case although its associated with a different phone, but when you add it to your shopping cart, it says for the i760. Below is the product info. The Samsung rep I spoke to said he thought this case was made specifically for the i760. I ordered one, I should have it friday.
I just need something to protect the phone while it's in my purse, keep it from getting jabbed, a little cushion as my purse gets set down, etc. I don't carry my phone on a belt, and I don't mind removing from a sleeve of some type to use it when I need to touch it. (I hope my bluetooth headset cuts down on the need to touch it...)
I was browsing Walmart, looking at camera cases, ipod cases, etc. and there are ipod socks that some manufacturer makes that would have been perfect, but the ipod sock wouldn't fit the phone.
So I wandered to the kids area, and found a nice set of toddler mittens that fits the phone perfectly for $1.89! The mitten cuff holds the phone in, the mitten stretch knit fabric seems perfect for what I wanted, and it's brightly colored so I can see it easily in my purse. (I carry a small purse, but anything to make it easier to find.) I have a spare, or another case for extra batteries, cards, etc. lol
Anyway, just wanted to share...
I did the same thing almost....I just wanted a soft sleeve I could put the phone in while it was in my pocket while not adding bulk to the phone....I have a Zune that came with a soft carrying pouch that I am not using...I pulled it out..slipped the sammy in...and wooohooo..I have a pretty nice fitting soft pouch to protect my new shiny toy!!!

I want the storm and I want it now!
I wanted to let everyone know, I purchased 2 holsters for my 2 I760's
1 came in with the clip broken and the 2nd one lasted 24 hrs and the plastic clip that holds the pin broke...the plastic is too weak
my holster is still going strong on day 3. I really like it actually, as long as it lasts!
With how many broke, I personally wouldn't trust it. Keep an eye on it so your i760 doesn't pull a Superman...

Have you given anymore thought about getting with that Plastics company you referenced earlier in the thread to produce a case?
I would love to have a case solution similar to the i730. Simple and sturdy black plastic, swivel belt clip and screen facing in. It might also be beneficial (and increase sales too) if the clip were somehow removable (some PDA only belt cases featured this) for pocket carrying. Or as an alternative a no clip version option.

Thanks!
I have been in discussion with them yes... Might be a little too expensive to do on a small level, since I would have to pay for the engineering time, the molds, etc. I am still discussing it...

Depending upon their upfront engineering costs, molds, etc., perhaps a poll style thread about interest here could give an idea about volumes. And maybe even a donation type situation for people to assist offsetting the upfront costs... I've seen this done (and even participated twice) with other similar situations...

I am still working on it, I was given a rough quote on it, plus I have to give up my i760 for a few days.... Not willing to do that just yet.
When I can get more details on it, I will let you all know.

I don't usually register for sites like this...but I've read this thread looking to get a case for my new i-760 (LOVE IT - but had a weird no power experience this morning...I know it's the wrong thread but if anyone would like to discuss I'd love to find out if others have experienced.)
Anyway, since this site was so helpful in ruling out cases, I thought I'd post these that I found last night. They are both by the same company...I'm going to to for the holster with the screen cover. The post doesn't make it clear, but it does come with a 360 belt clip (I emailed the seller.) Hope this helps someone...
I purchased a NazTech Bravo H5 from Global Phone Company on Amazon. You know what they say about a deal being too good to be true? Well, my brown leather case arrived today and it's not leather. It's not even pleather. It's cheap vinyl. I have a Sena case for my old PDA and there's no comparison.
I'd send it back, but the page does list it as being "made from Polyurethane Leather." Must have missed that in my post-i760 excitement. Oh well, at least it fits the phone.
My advice: avoid Amazon and order directly from NazTech. Meanwhile my quest for a good leather (as in cattle, not chemical) case continues).
On a related note, anybody want to buy a vinyl...err, "polyurethane leather" i760 case for $10?
Update: I e-mailed NazTech asking about the Bravo material and they replied that it's "faux leather." So Amazon is in fact a viable option if you don't mind the material.
