Hey man long time no see. Thanks. Yea for a lost device you are correcto but I have never done that and never dealt with Assurion. How was the process with them? Horrible or what? Do they tell you what you will get or do you now have a choice with that lawsuit and all..I don't remember getting any refunds from that either now that I think of it..
Oh I been around... mostly lurking in the i760 forum... so whats your story... did it break or are you planning on losing it? If you call VZw you can get a warranty replacement. After the first year it'll cost $50.
If you have insurance a call to Assurion is pretty painless. It'll cost you $50 (they bill a credit card) and you return the phone. They hold your credit card for collateral. If you have the lose coverage plan (the 5.99/mo plan) then can get a replacement for lost or stolen phones too. I think both avenues will try and replace the phone with the same or equivalent model... I know with Assurion you can get them to give you a different phone if you have a good reason or they don't have your model in stock. But you must talk to Assurions Tech Support, not thier regular CSR's, they are the one's that are authorized to do those kind of requests, so Ask for tech support first. Hope that helps

Hey I haven't been able to get online much since I sold my laptop. I haven't checked really..other than Popularelectronics.com I don't know where else you can get it..but again it's unlocked so it's going to be expensive like any other unlocked phone. How's your i760 doing?
Other than what's in this thread not any new ones unfortunately. I just got a brand new XV6800 for free from Verizon as a replacement, but would REALLY like to get the SGH-i760, and/or wait for the supposed world phone version PROVIDED it has a vertical qwerty keyboard. While the SGH-i760 is unlocked and is VERY expensive, the world phone will most likely be available under a contract for much cheaper...If ANYONE has gotten the opportunity to either buy or play with the SGH-i760 please do let us know what you think of it.
So far I've gone through 2 crappy XV6800s..first was brand new but couldnt keep a call to save its life, had a huge memory leak problem, and didn't install software properly, the other has basically the same problem being a refurb.. Man I want a brand new i730 that works completely!:/ I dread trying the SCH-i760... Popularelect.com doesn't seem to ever list the SGH-i760 as being in stock:/ I might give them a call soon to see what's up with that. Man if I had the money I might buy 2 SGH-i760s! One to use as a GSM phone and the other to gut out and put the i730 guts inside of it to see if it would work! THAT I think would be like the perfect phone! A thinner i730 with a 2mp camera (like it should have had to begin with) a webcam, and newer AKU and possibly SDHC support!

Hmm I may have to get it for the future because they give me more of a headache when trying to do the out of warranty replacement..I think the ONLY thing keeping me with Verizon is the fact that they have been good abot providing replacements..Other than that its VERY expensive and they have a crappy variety/selection of Pocket PC. Tried 2 XV6800 which were defective (or else they just suck), and don't want to really try the SCH-i760. How you liking your i760 say in comparison with the i730? I find with my i730 I have NO problem getting a signal in the basement where all the tech equipment is and where I need to be, and really dont have many problems with them at all..but I couldnt have a conversation with anyone on the XV6800. I had to call someone back like 5 times the other day on the XV6800and had to eventually go to a landline to get the conversation STARTED. I think I'm going to try at least one more brand new XV6800, then I may be forced to try an SCH-i760..or I may have to go with something else for now till I can win a brand new unused i730 from ebay or what not..:./ Any ideas?
Other than the one I left from that customer which was 5 out of 5 stars there are no other ones I know of..unless someone here will buy one and let us know how it is.
Sadly I believe it's true...:/ That's what Popularelect said at least that they don't make them anymore. I wished I could have bought one before then.. But they never had them in stock because they had a list of preorders and whenever they'd come in they were gone. If anyone sees any being sold could you let us know where you see them please? I have my eyes on the Palm Pre because it's the only other PPC with similar build as the i730/SGH-i760 and looks pretty slick. You ever get an SGH-i760 or know someone who did?
