BTW everybody I talked to Popular Electronics and they said they're hoping to get some SGH-i760s in Friday possibly (Lord knows when for sure). If they do (though I hope Cnet gets one) and anyone does get one please do report what you think of it here for the rest of us please. I think pre orders are the way to go. Thanks.
While it would be sweet to see them using the SGH-i760 I don't think it is unfortunately. I believe I've seen that phone before but can't remember which one it is. If you do a side by side with it you can see way too many differences.
What phone would it be then? It looks like it is the SGH and it looks like it is running WM6.
I emailed the head phone guy at cnet about both phones and he said that more "demand" is needed for both phones before they will ask for it and do a review of both.

I believe I've seen the phone before but can't remember which one it is. It looks like a mix between the SCH and SGH i760s though.
Interesting that's not what he said to me, but I guess if anyone wants to see a review they're going to have to let him at Cnet know you want it. So if any of you do want a review SGH-i760 please do let Cnet know via email. Just do a search for Cnet reviewers and send the email to who you think would give a good review of the "Smartphone" or "cell phone". If you want let us know you sent your email. If you have a question on who to send it to or have any other questions I or someone else can try to help you. Thanks.
Not by looking at it I can't. I have tried to get help from Samsung on the SGH-i760 and that does nothing. Best try would be to email the people who posted it I would think.
Yeah they also thought it was the Samsung sgh-i760, but a non tester version.
Really?? So it's possible they changed the design?? Hmm..Did they say anything else about it? Like did they say they were there at the launch party for the projector and or handled the phone at all?
Wait the u900 is a camera phone. I dont see how that phone relates to this.
I was just going by looks nothing else. The only one even CLOSE to the SGH-i760 is the other one really..I believe it's a Prada which is very close to what I was thinking it was but couldn't remember the name. Though it as a Dpad so..I dunno. WHY is this like a big secret?? Why do they tease like this?? What's the point? These companies make no sense..
Ask them about the phone? What happened with the cnet review?
I dropped Mr Kent German a note (I think it's obvious who I'm talking about as I mentioned that the person I am talking to is a he and all) about Popular Electronics expecting them in stock but I haven't gotten a reply back. I guess when he said he'll get one asap that's the kind of asap that means as soon upon the condition that many more people ask for a review for the SGH-i760 as well?? I'm figuring that based on what you told me he said to you so who knows man. The phone is available to buy but I would really like a review on the phone before looking to invest anywhere close to what it's going for money wise. Unless someone from here buys it and let's us know how it is OR many others let Cnet editor Kent German (and/or Bonnie Cha?) know they would also like a review on the SGH-i760 I guess there won't be one.
If you (anyone) would like to send Kent German an email please go to the link below and let him know you would also like to see a Cnet review of the SGH-i760. If you would please let us know what he said if anything. Thanks.
I believe October/November 2007 with no vendor unlocked, a year from when it was announced, which I guess is in keeping with how these companies do things.
but what about 3G data? if the phone specs say GSM1900, does that necessarily mean that it can also use UMTS1900 (because the sgh-i760 is only spec'd for UMTS2100, the rest of its bands are all GSM)? i was under the impression that the radios are seperate and that although they exist in similar frequency bands, you actually need the specific hardware & firmware to be able to use both bands.
