I use it for movies, music, and non crucial programs. I've got about 1.8 GB filled up with that so far (only one full length movie on it), and it would only take another 4 movies or so to fill up the rest.

Try to PM the creater of this hack and ask him for some help. See if getting him a rom dump would help.

Yea actually someone I know posted the SCH-i760 ROM dump at ppcgeeks.com in their folder Qlinks in the OpenFTP Site under i760.

My dlls are the same one from this thread. I wonder if there are any new hacks floating around..going to do some searching.

I bought the SD4G HC from a Verizon store and seems to be working fine in my XV6800.

I just got my adata 4gb microSDHC card and it works great, super fat. It is a class 6 card(meaning certified to read/write at 6mb/s) several ppl care claiming speeds up to 10mb/s. class 6 is the fast out right now, and as far as i can tell adata is the only one making a class 6 card. i am using a sandisk sdhc usb card reader(compact, clean, and fast). I have used other adata products with much success as well. 1gb micro sd card(1 year) ddr2 desktop ram(several comps, tons of great reviews)

Newegg.com rocks.

Just push it a hair further in until it clicks and doesn't pop back out. I have to use my finger nail to get it in. Then to get it out, push it in until it clicks and when you lift your finger up it will pop out again for you.

Yea, I know what you mean. Coming off the i730, it took me a while to 'nail' that one.

Instalation woes -SD 4GB MicroSD

Complete neophyte here...

I got the subject memory card and my i760 won't read it. So I tried to download the zipped file mentioned in these fora with the .cab file but the device doesn't know how to open the zip file that contains it so I am pretty much stuck.

I have 30 MB of RAM memory left to stuff with ... and by the way where can I download WM 6.0 version of Acrobat reader? (Also another app that I can't download from the web site).

Any help to this neophyte would be great appreciated...

if i remember correctly (i'm not at home now) you unzip it on your laptop then move the cab to the device if it is indeed zipped as you say. click on it in the device. it works. use winzip or winrar (even the trial versions) to open it. would not a google search turn up acrobat? that's what i would do. gotta go.

OK I finally got the program to unzip properly. usingthe i760 browser I went online to the software download area from verizon and downloaded the ezzip program. Then after opening it, I opened the shdc.zip file that has been posted here somewhere and voila it recognized the memory card.

Verizon says i760 doesn't support more than 2GB but this solution worked for me and now I can access all 4GB.

Thanks!!!!

Just giving my 2 cents. I ordered the 4gb A-data card from newegg and it came DOA. Not only that it didn't fit snugly in it's SD adapter. Went to Frys and picked up the 4gb Kingston and it works perfectly and fits snug in it's SD adapter.
