I feel like that rag tag team of rebels (forgot the name of the planet/moon) in The Return of the Jedi trying to take on the Empire. Unless we can find some Ewoks, I think this is all futile.

First off I dugg it when I hit the link. Second the first post over at Digg, the user should learn to read the whole text and not skim. Finally if Samsung is marketing the product and promoting it in the open and at trade shows well then guess what its being marketed and should not longer have the protections they requested. Its that simple. Of course the FCC is not on the side of the consumer just the lobbist folks who pay the bills.

I agree they should learn to read, as even publicizing the device, it should be revoked, so whatever your definition of marketing, they made it public, which "should" remove short-term confidentiality as listed in DA 04-1705...

I have no idea what VZW is doing, but to answer your [edit]third[/edit] question, yes there have recently been phones that have been released by a US carrier *before* the confidentiality expiration date for photos/manuals (e.g. T-Mobile Wing by HTC, Sprint Mogul aka 6800 by HTC).
