I will be trading my 730 in for the 760 as soon as I can. I want an external keypad for dialing and I like that the numbers are angled for use when typing. Although SD's num locker is a nice hack, it is not functional when I need type a lot of numbers with text.

SD did NOT make NumLocker (or the PhoneHelper Suite), this was done by another member, Dimension. Just wanted to give credit where it was due.

clarification please...
I am in the big debate over whether to go i760 or 6800. I must admit I like the external keypad on the i760. I have been using a 6700 for 17 months now, and I do like it. I was on the fence (although leaning a little towards the 6800), but then I read about 2 pages back that the i760 will NOT have an IR port??? Can someone confirm this?
If the i760 does not have an IR port, then Samsung made my decision for me, and I can't buy the i760. I use the IR on my 6700 every single day for business. Literally without it, I couldn't do my job.

I'm a Realtor, and every single one of the properties in our market operates on a lockbox that is accessed with IR. The standard crap keypad that you get if you don't have a PDA is IR, but I use my PDA to access every property that I show. I also use it on the properties I have listed to read the access data for people who have entered my properties.

SupraKey, but yes, and that ain't gonna happen. The SupraKey doesn't have the ability to access MLS data on the spot when I'm driving down the street with a buyer, plus you have to plug it into a stupid cradle every night in order for it to work.
I think it's crazy that the i760 wouldn't have IR. Shouldn't that be a standard feature with all PDA devices? Does it have a stylus, or was that too much to ask Samsung for?
Wow, I'm literally in shock.

it has a stylus.
I honestly feel that IR is considered legacy tech at this point.
You COULD carry an i760 and a suprakey. lol I wouldn't want to either.

Sorry... props to Dimension. no disrepect intended. I like the PhoneHelper Suite but the lack of a number pad on the 730 drives me nuts on a daily basis when I am trying to type server names and ip addresses or deal with financial data in excel.
I like how the 760 angled the number pad for use with the landscape keyboard...however it is going to be weird getting used to the locations of the numbers (with the #1 being on the bottom in the correct location for 10-key but having the number #2 where #4 should be, etc.).
