if the HoFo is correct about a 7/4 release date for stores, can we expect an earlier launch date for B2B customers. I want mine before they go to the public.
btw- 2 years on the 730. It has been kicked, dropped, continously used, never had a screen protector on it, etc. This device has proved to be quite durable. I hope that the 760 is the same.
Seconded. My 730 has taken a lot of abuse. I too hope the 760 is built to the same if not higher rigorous standards
One I have been testing does HAVE WM6. It would surprise the crap out of us 10 testers (across US) IF VZW or Samsung changed shipment to units with WM5. To give you a guarantee that WM6 is what's in the boxes at the warehouses (getting a new flash done), I would be going out on a limb, geez, this would be very disheartening to note IF VZW pulls this stunt and IF Samsung is in on this. I need to make some fast calls now. IF I can get an OK to post I will definitely post or maybe I have to be cryptic in typing a response.

oops sorry tange1, still under the NDA...........I can say this it does have WM6......cannot dump this ROM as it is a very rough beta unit and may not be good for SD to play with as a lot has changed since this was done, A LOT.........

Umm, oh boy where do I start?........almost all that we have been used to with i730 works on this, so I don't know IF we really need a lot of hacking to do............but then again WE are not happy if we cant hack into it right?

In that HoFo post with all the dates it said Hosted VZ Email is coming in 9/28/07. VZW already has email with their vtext.com service, so does anyone know what this is? Will it be some kind of new Verizon email service that will give all of us users free (LOL...this IS Verizon) or low-cost push e-mail?
I know Apple is giving free Yahoo push e-mail with the iPhone so maybe....just maybe....

WM6 (it was confirmed it will be that on release)
Voice Command 1.61 something (I couldn't remember the last numbers)
USB 2.0
BT 2.0 (something about 1.1 stereo)
WIFI B/G.
No IR port
Ability to Tether via Bluetooth (per the Samsung Rep)
I liked the Windows UPDATE ICON in the programs area. Can anywone say Live Update?
I didn't get a chance to ask the Samsung Rep if it will be WM6 Standard or PRO (i'm sure it will be pro and i don't know the difference anyway). I know the 6800 Will have PRO per their rep.
It does come with the OFFICE Suite (all WM6 phones will).
They also talked a lot about the New Technologies focusing around the EVDO / Rev a. b &c. (BTW I guess B is coming about in 6 months).
If you were interested, VZW spends 1.6Billion /90days on upgrading their network. 39Billion over the last 7 years (according to their presentation).
Oh, by the way, I just bought a PN820 to keep me going until 6/29/07 when i order my I760.
You are not the only one except I satisfy my tech cravings a little cheaper. I bought a i600 and a NEC MobilePro 900C (remember that?) They will give me something to tinker with til the 760 arrives.

I have beta tested the new version of Windows Live Messenger that is included w/WM 6 and can confirm that it includes free push email through hotmail.
As per another question raised, WM6 Pro is the touchscreen version, WM 6 Standard is what is currently called "Smartphone Edition". The I760 will have Pro.
