I don't know what to make of this image. Is this what the i760 will look like for Verizon? I don't understand the keyboard. Also, Q2 2007 on the "new platform" isn't promising - i.e. that sounds like a date that could keep on getting pushed back.http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2006/1...the-blackjack/
The more I look at the picture, the more I wonder what the hell they were thinking putting the d pad on the bottom left side of the device. I imagine the ergonomics/weighting will be all messed up.
Given M$ propensity for being late, do you really think Crossbow will be ready by then?

It's hard to tell from the pic, but I'm hoping that this is the "closed" position, & it still retains the full sliding keyboard. If so, this could be sweet. If not, I'll keep my I730, thank you.

I will take crossbow over the AKU3 release on the 6800. Now if it confirms EVDO Rev A, then even better...

And wait, nobody commented on the bluetooth V2.0, that's sweet too!

the banner pic reads 'sliding QWERTY keyboard' which would mean it HAS ito have the full layout. The only question is it landscape i.e 6700 OR like our beloved 730? Only time will tell. Based on looks alone i'll stick with the 730 - the size has not mattered to this point so......thats my 2 cents

Sweet! I was looking at the pics on my i730 & couldn't read that. The GSM model had a portrait sliding keyboard, so they'll more likely than not keep that. Thinner, camera, bluetooth 2.0, Crossbow, no protruding antenna... Sounds like my next phone for sure! Finally, a phone that could be considered an upgrade!
Yeah, we have been discussing this for the past few hours....

Crap that means, when Mike (our esteemed electronic landlord) gets around to recognizing a new gizmo, that there will be another forum that I will have to read...

While I'm excited about this, initially my take is that the gsm model looks better...gsm's two cameras vs CDMA's one it appears. Gsm's 2.0 meg camera vs CDMA's 1.3. Also the gsm layout looks preferable...but time will tell....
