You guys check out the vzw site (testman or regular) and in the search feild in the top right search for "i760".... you'll get:
1. Samsung_i760 Interactive "How To" Simulator

I couldn't run the flash, might be my work computer but i have no idea, see if anyone could run it and give us a summary.
The page that actually shows up in the search is the page that you would normally be forwarded to if you don't have flash...
having gone through the waiting and the launch of the i730, i will tell you that mark ak is not being sarcastic. it will be like a support group for i760 user here - you can count on that.
So.....do we have any credible confirmation this will be available the 24th?.....or the 5th.....? Biz/internet first? Omie, Equas, "Ethan" via mrailing - anything?
I really don't put very much stock in this, but I stopped by my local Verizon Wireless store today and asked a pretty clueless sales person if the i760 was in store or if they had any idea when they might be in.
Before I get flamed..I had not visited this site for awhile, so I had no idea the SKU was taken out of their system. I was in the area, and figured "what the heck".
The salesperson disappeared to the back of the store for a few minutes to speak to a manager. A few minutes later came back out with the news that as far as the manager knew, it would not be released for a few months.
Now I'm not as savvy as alot of you guys on this thread, but if thats true..it sounds more like a Thanksgiving/Christmas release to the public. Curious if anyone else has heard of this "It'll be a few months" statement.

You should ignore most everything that anyone at a Verizon store says. They will tell you the release date is "in a few months" after the phone is officially released. MOST have no clue...
You won't find any better info than right here b/c Verizon won't tip their hand until the phone is actually released.
Went to local store and asked about the i760 and he pulled out two demos both broke. I gave him the SKU# and it came up in his system as a different sku # that shows the item is not currently available to order. He then tried to look at the shipment coming in for today and oddly enough he could not see what is coming in (normally he can see what is coming in). He found this a bit odd after i told him about the release date of the 24th that has been posted on the various sites.
Any way long of the short he just called they got a shipment of phones in that his manager quickly locked up. he would know more on Friday.

I spoke to our B2B rep today and asked about the i760. I threw out October 5th as the release date for the phone and he said that was a good date. We are setting up some corporate accounts with Verizon currently, so I have a good feeling that he was giving me good data.
This may mean nothing at all, but it's just weird. Pretty much everyday for past several weeks I've gone to the VZW B2B site via our corporate e-mail system. I've always been able to get on it, without fail. Tonight, it won't let me get in and the VZW page says:
"We are upgrading our website to serve you better"
"Thank you for visiting VerizonWireless.com. Our site is
temporarily unavailable while we upgrade our systems. We
apologize for the inconvenience and ask that you return
later."
After trying it two or three times I went to the regular VZW site to check to see if it was available, and it was. Now like I said, this most likely means absolutely nothing, but I wanted to share.
Phones were shipped to a few, not in Testman.. I wouldn't use TM as a benchmark. IMHO.
I am hoping I get proved wrong, but for the past few months that I have been monitoring testman, I have seen all new promotions and phones always show up on testman first. The new Q9m showed up a week before release on testman. Those few who got them shipped were due to an 'accident'. Has anybody seen phones being released in the past without them being appearing on testman first?
I think that the minute one of us learns that the i760 has been released, an EMERGENCY post should be made on this forum letting everyone know.
Just a suggestion since most of us come here first and then head to the VZW site.

If this thread is closed (locked), then it's out... But yes, there will most likely be a sticky in this thread that says it's out, and how to go about getting it, replacing the sticky that is there telling you it's NOT out yet.
The best bet is to go to the i760 forum itself, and not directly to this thread for news and information.

I may have missed it but how is the 'Get It Now' crap that they shoe-horned onto the phone. Can it be removed? Does it have anything useful to us?
Also, my i730 is on its last leg. When i type, most of the letters come up twice or more. So I spend more time deleting extra characters. i have insurance but i assume they wont have any i730's in stock to replace it with. if this is so, what replacement would they send me. Would they send me a i760 if I wait until after its released?

I just commented to someone else here about insurance, count on getting a refurbished i730...
