This is too funny. All of these people calling and badgering these reps to order a phone that isn't technically released or in the system yet... which should satisfy the 'why hasn't Verizon released this phone yet?' crowd. What is inevitable is the next wave of posters stating that Verizon released a buggy product way too soon and we want an upgrade/credit. You can't make everyone happy.
Well, it seems those of us in the North East are stuck at the moment.
I exchanged email with Jeff and he stated he could only sell to the Southeast (specifically North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Southern Kentucky, Arkansas,
Oklahoma, Texas, Eastern New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama,
Georgia, Florida)
Then I called customer service and asked if I could buy a new phone that just came out, she said "the i760 from Samsung?" ... I said "yes", and she told me then that it wasn't available in the northeast, only western states. I then mentioned that the Southeast had it too and she sighed and said she was sorry but there's nothing she can do for the NorthEast market.
Jeff did mention in the email however that if I wanted a new number in one of the states he services we could do it... But then I'd have to get a new number.
I am in Cincinnati and was able to order two i760's yesterday (one through a B2B rep that a regular CSR found and another just through a regular CSR). The second i760 shipped out yesterday from Memphis and is on FedEx's truck for delivery today by 3pm!! Of course, I have to leave by 1pm from work for an appointment today, so if I don't have the phone before I leave, I will be driving back downtown this evening!
Do tell, if you can, who you talked to! It turns out that Jeff is only in the southeast. Including " North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Southern Kentucky, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Eastern New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida."
I'd love to get the phone that quickly!
EDIT: Christr - you beat me to it!

Reason: Duplicate information
No luck in the Middle Atlantic either, I am in Maryland. I have apparently talked to reps up and down the Eastern Seaboard today, as was reported to me by the last CSR. My B2B rep also told me the same thing: No i760 love for the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast.
Congrats and all the best to the users in the rest of the country with their shiney new i760's. F Verizon.

I e-mailed Jeff to see if he can help...got a reply from him stating "Unfortunately my system will only allow me to process new orders in the south-east area. The areas I handle include North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Southern Kentucky, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Eastern New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida." So unless your from there, don't waste time e-mailing Jeff.
I also called the b2b phone number and they told me she's gotten tons of calls today about this phone and wished she could help but can't, it hasn't been released, she doesn't know when...when i told her many people in the west have gotten it she said different regions have different release dates....
I just tried to order through the S.E. div of b2b and they said the warehouse was empty. I gave them my info and they are going to call me back as soon as it comes in.

I got the same response from *611 and B2B, and im from the Chicagoland area. I saw some people who have been lucky enough to order from this area. I will keep trying though
Long time lurker from the Chicagoland area here. I've made four attempts so far and no dice on getting it ordered. The last attempt said they found the phone in the system but it would not allow them to order.
If anybody gets one ordered from the Chicagoland area, please ask them if they can get a contact so the rest of us can get in there too. Much appreciated!
I have been working with a very nice rep in my area. Actually added my business to my number. It looks like Verizon might have locked the system down, and not allowing any more orders, as they have placed an "out of stock" notification on the i760.
I also heard from Ethan, since he was actually interrupted during his meetings about "the flood of calls". Very nice guys, very nice. Love that we can rattle Verizon's cage...

I spoke with a great rep out of Columbus. She searched and searched. After finding it, her supervisors told her that if it was in the system, she could order it. Once I gave her my credit card, the computer came back with an error x2. She says that usually happens when they are out of stock and to try back tomorrow. She noted my account so the next CSR can find it. I have a feeling that they probably just couldn't order it out of that service center. I'm bummed.....
Jeff Dove rules. Sent an email--called me back within 20 min. Ordered i760, got NE2, ADD, 2yr contract---down to 199. 50$ mail in rebate coming. Also got a cradle, car charger, and overnight shipping. Total was 313.15. Hopefully I'll see it tomorrow...

I just spoke with another CSR and it sounds like he is right. VZW is locking it down. She told me that it's now only available through some companies intranet sites. No actually release date yet.
This really sucks. They need to now go ahead and release it if they are going to allow some to order it but not others. There are going to be some pretty pissed off people like me that may just jump if we don't get it soon.
Spoke to knowledgeable business rep in NYC (800-899-4249)- not released to NYC yet despite the SKU being in the system. He feels our pain because he wants one too! Jealous of those lucky(?) enough to live elsewhere! Devastated....guess I'll hard boot the ol' 730....

That would suck for everyone that hasn't got an order in .
Good. They deserve it. Glad I could help out in that regard. My hounding of my rep paid off in the end
Here's pics of the batteries and ext on the phone.
OK Jeff called me back and I made my order but he said he cant see the stock anymore. So I think Verizon is trying to stop the orders. I ordered mine for Sat delivery. He said he would email me if he couldnt get it out. I will update when he emails me with the status. I sure hope Verizon would not stop orders when so many people want the phone. The only thing that might make sense is the 30 day non-compete on the Q that we have seen. They might be in violation.
