I'm also in the Northeast (long island), first time post but have been watching for quite sometime now.

I tried to call in an order three times this morning with no luck. I keep mentioning the SKU and referencing orders from the West. All I get is a reply that it's not in the inventory. They also said it maybe a region issue right now. If someone can reference a rep that would be great.

Our B2B rep in Virginia (Mid Atlantic region) couldn't find the SKU, even after talking to his manager. He indicated this region is more conservative than others, and often waits longer than other VZW regions to offer new equipment. This region takes longer "to make sure they get all the bugs out".

We'll keep trying.

Sorry about the server load folks. I have been told by Convergent that the techs are working on it. The load jumped today, and that's why the busy messages are going on, and it's happening to me as well....

I tried from MD again...as soon as the guy in Telesales heard the SKU he immediately said it is not available and that he has no idea how anyone has it...they must have gotten a demo. I assured him that they did not, but he was not budging...

I am trying Jeff...thanks for the tip.

I live in the Chi to, and tried 611 for the first time, and at first i though it was a go, but the girl was tryin to ship me the i730, i was like the i760, and proceed to give her the sku, but she was like it wasn't in the inventory. I emailed Jeff, and i also gave my name and number to Bass, so hopefully something pans out today.

I too just talked to my rep (in NC); she can see the SKUs but the phone has not been released in the east - "a few details to be finalized". She says they are ready to go in their fulfillment house.

Since the sales frenzy started yesterday, has anyone heard an "official" release date?

So far, it's been a no go for me. I've tried 3 times so far with no luck. The last CSR told me that their supervisors have been instructing them NOT to sell them...they have not been released.

It's $399 w/ 2yr contract

Just ordered from Jeff - great guy. I have been lurking here since February and thanks to this forum I am getting this phone much earlier then I would have without it. Now I plan to use the forum to find out all the new tips and tricks for my new device! Thanks to all of you for the great information over the last several months.

finadvsr - hope you get a referral discount for this. It will be good for Jeff as well - I am looking at starting a B2B account - if I do I will go through him.

Thanks again!

HELP!

First of all CONGRATS to all of you have the phone... I am truly happy for you.

Now I am a regular consumer. There were 4 lines on my account until about May... Now there are only 3.

How do I go about ordering the Samsung SCH-i760 for myself? What is the best approach for me?

As of right now I understand that I should call VZW B2B line at:

1-(800)-VZW-4-BIZ

and give them the SKEW number and try to order it since they work off of comi.

One problem... I do not know the SKEW #...

PLEASE WHAT IS THE SKEW NUMBER?

HELP!

Thanks,

SCHi760

nice to know because I am in Mi also Rochester. Did you have to give any proof of being a b2b or did you just say I want to order and they did.

Lurker here... just got off the phone in Los Angeles with regular CS rep from their 800 dial-in number. First rep said its a "hush-hush" phone and transferred me to the "telesales dept." After a few min she found it, got it approved by the supervisor and placed the order. Cost was $399, less $200 for NE2 and advanced data discount (unlimited data plan), plus a $50 Mail in rebate, and a $90 credit on my next bill (don't recall why she said I get that). Charge to my CC was $237.69, and I've already received my order confirmation. Fed ex, going out either today or Monday.

I am in Cincinnati and was able to order two i760's yesterday (one through a B2B rep that a regular CSR found and another just through a regular CSR). The second i760 shipped out yesterday from Memphis and is on FedEx's truck for delivery today by 3pm!! Of course, I have to leave by 1pm from work for an appointment today, so if I don't have the phone before I leave, I will be driving back downtown this evening!

I work for a non profit in Tacoma Wa, we have a plan to recycle the phones and put the funds to a good use. The phones that have more value than the recycling company will give us we sell on ebay. If you are interested in a tax write off for your old phone send me a pm and we can work it out. For more info on the organization go to Tacoma Area Youth for Christ.

Thanks,

Dan

I got it!

Wow, after 90 minutes and 6 reps (through *611), I've finally succeeded!

I asked for the NE2 plus ADD discount and for some reason, they gave me an additional discount which brought the phone down to $242.89. They also WAIVED the Saturday delivery fee. I also purchased the car charger and travel charger on the merit program. On top of that, the rep (Crystal) is emailing me a link to where i can sign up online for a $10 credit to my account which is essentially one month free on my second line.

So, apparently, I will have the phone and the two chargers delivered tomorrow via FedEx Saturday Delivery for $291.57. This does not include the $50 mail-in rebate which will bring my total cost to $251.57 with the 2-year contract.

After 70 minutes failure, these last 20 minutes have been awesome. Thanks to everyone for posting their experiences and especially for those SKU numbers!

I live in Los Angeles in case anyone is interested.

Verizon Rep just emailed me

I've been a lurker here since long before the i730 was finally released. I've gained invaluable knowledge from many of you. And thanks to Mrailing, I was able to make my 730 last a little longer than I would have been able to without his invaluable guide.

I work for a very large company with a national account with Verizon. We have many, many PDAs, most of which are Treos with the exception of the technology workers which are mostly i730s. We have been waiting anxiously like the rest of you for the real replacement for this phone.

So I would like this to be a real "contribution" to the group, rather than just a rumor that won't ever come to be a reality. But my account rep just emailed me to say that the i760 is forthcoming, and, according to what he just sent me 30 minutes ago, it will be firmware upgradeable to Rev. A very quickly, if not immediately.

Again, rumor, but at least a positive one.

Send a message via AIM to dotZen

Got mine ordered this morning. Called *611 and was lucky enough to get a great service rep. It took us a bit to figure out how to get access to ordering the PPC phone, but she found the method. If any of you are curious or are running into CSR's who are unable to find it, ask them to try using the ordering search instead of inventory or regular search methods and then provide them with the SKU's you'll need.

This was calling from the southeast, Atlanta to be exact, so east coast shouldn't have problems either. Just be patient with whomever you get on the phone and I'm sure they'll do their best to help out.

Sadly, she couldn't find the Data plan discount for me, so i have to do some searching around about that one.

$320 for the PPC phone, with 2 yr contract, after NE2 (that's been up for 2 years!) and with taxes. If the MIR is in the box, that'll knock me down to $270. If I find the Add a data plan discount it should drop down to $170.

Best of luck to all who are waiting to order there, and congrats to all of us new i760 owners!

My i700 is now going to need a proper burial..Or donation to a good charity.
