Hope I didn't iritate too many people with my last post. Anyway, the last two pages were loaded with relevant info, which is a nice change. As I said I would, I visited a Verizon store tonight on the way home from work in the KC area and the guy I talked to was aware of both the i760 and the xv6800. The 760 is coming out at the end of this month, 6800 and Treo 755 in Oct. There will be a total of 6 new PDAs by end of Nov. and a grand total of 15 new phones/PDAs by the end of the year. I confirmed this on the following website... Verizon prepares 15 still unannounced phones for release (phone Arena)
Verizon's upcoming phones for 2007:

With all due respect...you all are a bit crazy. Just because something is in a picture does not mean you can buy it. Do you really think that printing it out...going down to your local Verizon Store and showing them will all of a sudden open the magical door?
I want this phone as much as anyone, I guess I have not gone off the deep end yet though.
On the B2B site under promotions at Save with our bundled deals! VZW mentions
"Your choice of select BlackBerry devices or PDA/Smartphones from manufacturers like RIM, Motorola, Palm and Samsung."
Now, given they have no current PDAs that are made by Samsung, this I imagine is another sign the phone is coming out soon. I'm ready to call the 4BIZ 800 number to order one and see what response I get.

I doubt that anyone really expects it to work that way. My guess is that the act of presenting the email flyer and demanding to buy the phone is intended more as a sort of statement.
I must admit that as much as I like symbolic statements, this one is truly an example of 'tilting at windmills'.
I remember seeing VZW advertise its PDAs in airports with Treos in their advertisements over a month before they were released. I also remember seeing advertisements of ads in those same airports with picutres of operating systems being desplayed on upcoming phones that came out well after the phones were released (e.g. i730). Marketing is a wonderful thing becuase it gets people excited but, in the end, means absolutely nothing. If the i760 never comes out, this picture does not promise it ever will. It is not labeled and does not say you can buy a given model. They can claim it is a picutre, not a phone. I am not saying it is not coming, I am saying that nothing is implied here other than VZW is trying to get people to buy something. What is that something? The network!!!!! It even says, ...you might find what you are looking for..." MIGHT? MIGHT?

What a shame, they took away the WiFi? from all the posted documents here it does not look like this feature is going to be enabled even so the phone supports it, anyhow, I will have too look for other option if it is not.
Wow, I just threw my Palm Omnisky modem thing away about a month ago. (i had that in 1997 i think.

I spoke with the Corporate rep for my company today, explaining that i wanted to purchase a Samsung I-760. After letting me know they were out of stock on the phone, we discussed the fact that the phone hadn't been released yet. He indicated that they don't get dates because they are always coming back and changing them.
I asked how much it would cost when released, and he said, with my Employee discount, it would be $239.00, and that after my NE2 and advanced data credit, it would probably cost me about $30.00.
Don't know if he was looking at an incorrect model; he was unable to find a list price and speculated that it might be released for corporate accounts first.
Hope he is correct as I will be happy with that price.

Need help setting up your i730/i830 or other WM2003/WM5 Phone, as well as the other hacks I have done, check out the MRailing Guides and Links
Jimminy Christmas. It will have wifi. I just can't imagine VzW turning it off. From all the reports starting with CES, it has wifi in it.
I accept mrrailing's statement that it will have wifi, but "can't imagine VZW turning it off" is a bit naive given the VZW's history, even with the i730.

VZW has already gone down that rabbit hole. They will always feature WiFi and BT in the future. They can offer other models of the same device without it but they will always offer it. Same with cameras. If they didn't that would be the last straw.
