Hell, I will be out of the country from 9/18 - 10/18 so my two options are, it is released a few days before I go in which I get it, and get barely any time to play with it, or it's released while I am gone and I get to wait until I get back to get it!

Cheers

Brian

Does all of this seem completely accurate to you guys? User Memory - 64 MB RAM / 128 MB flash? Internet HTML Browser - No?

I think I noticed a couple other things as well, can't remember though.

Happy B-day Iprob8!
Thanks for the birthday wishes, but let's not light the candles quite yet. We've been teased about this for roughly the past 4 months or so. Although I'm starting to actually think about what kind of cake I would like, I still think it's just a bit early to order it. Let's see if we receive any official announcement from VZW within the next few days.....then we'll set the date for my party.

SAMSUNG Download Center

It now has the picture up showing the Verizon logo on the phone, so i guess that's kinda cool.

Sorry if this has already been posted, I just noticed it myself and couldn't find anyone linking to this earlier.
I downloaded and installed the sync software...what a geek.

Thanks to all for the information. Hidden in between O/T posts (like this one) is some real information, and I am expecting my phone in the next two weeks...we'll see if that comes about.

I'm curious as well. The "manual" we downloaded earlier states "Dormant mode allows you to maintain data connections so you can easily continue to instant message, download email, or browse the Web after receiving a call." The specs on the Samsung page says that neither instant message nor Internet HTML Browser are supported.

I am also confused with all the info we have been given. It also says: Outlook Sync = No....What gives? Does it or does it not have Instant Message, Internet HTML Browser and Outlook Sync????

Located on the specifications page it has a pdf file that you can download and in there it says:

WINDOWS MOBILE OPERATING
SYSTEM APPLICATIONS (INCLUDED)
• MSN® Messenger® Mobile
• Internet Explorer® Mobile
• Windows Media® Player 10 (MP3, Audio
& Video Streaming)
• Microsoft® Office Word Mobile
• Microsoft® Office Excel® Mobile
• Microsoft® Office PowerPoint® Mobile
• Terminal services client
• Connection manager
• File explorer
• Voice recorder
• Calculator
• Clock
• Alarm

Now I am really confused

Does anyone know if the LCD is actually hard plastic (glass like) or the soft plastic like on the i730 and the xv6700?

I only ask because I know the iPhone is using a superhard like plastic which is much better then the traditional LCD screens on PDA phones.

a guy goes into a bar....... no seriously. i called data support about my #%%@$$% treo AGAIN, this time the 1.22 updater has hosed it completely.

And am escalated to a tech lead.

I ask him while he is looking up some stuff about it and it turns out he says yes, i have one of those im using right now, and the release is and I quote "Very, very soon" and told me its a really nice device.

He did say it was really close about 3 weeks ago and it was pulled for a software issue and sent back for a software rev and that sort of lines up with the pandemonium and subsequent disappointment on here.

I'll be out of the country until 9/18.
By then I expect everyone to have found all of the bugs and made my decision easier.

I think Verizon is delaying release until this thread has at least 5,000 posts.
