My company is being added to the VZW tech board. We were told today by VZW that the i760 will be released either next week or the week after that. No later than 9/14.
You make it sound like kids are entitled to things. Whatever happened to gratitude? Whatever happened to "save your money and you can get what you want"? One of the best ways to ruin a child: build a sense of entitlement into them.
If your child wouldn't speak to you just because you didn't get them an iphone, then I'd say you have bigger issues on your hand.
They're not toddlers anymore. You can't earn their love by giving them something.
and your daughter will hate you because it's not the kewl phone...

I'll tell her that she can have the Prada and install SlingBox. Then I will let her decide.

I know I'm not that new here but why cant I find the post(s) that mentions the type of storage card will be used with the i760. MicroSD?, MiniSD?,HC...
Or do we even know for sure yet?
David Ciccone on Mobility Today thinks that the i760 will be released on September 10th.... he also lists some other devices, as well as a December TBD for the LG Prada running WM6 on VZW.
Has there been a CDMA LG Prada seen on the FCC site this year? I thought when this came up earlier the lack of any FCC application put this to bed. In Europe and Asia the LG Prada seems to be selling quite well.
FWIW, I cannot ever see VZW being willing to negotiate a deal with Prada. While Prada is not as crazy as Apple in what they want, they are a world-renowned design house with a reputation they will die for before compromising on. If you read the LG/Prada releases they all very heavily emphasized the "user experience" that Prada was so proud of working out with LG and how that was going to uphold the good Prada name. Does anyone seriously think that Prada will let VZW touch any part of their interface or "user experience" with crippling, adding on VCAST, etc? Not going to happen, and I do not believe VZW is willing to allow a Prada phone on The Network that VZW has not redesigned to suit themselves.
VZW will continue to trot out the Chocolate, enV (one of my favorite phones) and Q for the 'kiddies" and as many BBs as they can for the road warriors. They don't seem to see any reason to change that business model at this time, and no real reason to concentrate on WM6 touchscreen devices.

MicroSD. HC functionality is still a topic of speculation, but the general consensus is to wait and see, I think...

I have a feeling that he might be talking about the i760 AND the HTC 5800. My rep said that these would probably be released around the same time.

Of course i will be in Chicago 9/8 - 9/12 on business. So, i probably will miss the release and get it late.
