Anyone know if it's possible to have two concurrent bluetooth connections on the i760? I'd like to have my bluetooth GPS receiver running via TomTom or the like and be able to talk on my bluetooth handsfree when a call comes in.

Here's hoping for 9/9 release!

I can do that with my i730 so I would suspect we'll be able to do it with the i760. Perhaps Equus can confirm this, though.

I hope its close to the q9 for the price cuz mine ended up being 160 dollars with another 50 dollar mail in rebate. Oh by the way it will definately be goin back after my 30 day trial is on its last leg....that is of course if it lasts that long! piece of junk!! Does anyone know if this phone also has a confirmed 30 day "our phones the coolest" thing.... or just another wait till after labor day and see wat happens...???

Yea, but they likely knock off $100 if you sign for two more years.

I believe that VZW also knocks an additional $100 of the price of the device IF you signup for the unlimited data package and keep it for at least 30 days. Can any VZW employees on this thread confirm this??? Not sure if this counts if you existing plan already includes the data package.

Looks like things are finally moving along.

David Ciccone on Mobility Today thinks that the i760 will be released on September 10th.... he also lists some other devices, as well as a December TBD for the LG Prada running WM6 on VZW.

i was surprised as well to see it released today - i think all the rumors i had read stated mid/late september for release. bode well for the other phones we're all waiting for? we shall see in due time i suppose.

unexpected releases certainly bodes well for the early september rumors floating about for the i760

i think the big differentiating factor for the i760 is the front key pad and other form factor related issues. in terms of capabilities it is on par or below other phones being released over the coming months. only unknown for comparison purposes is performance.

the LG Prada has been the phone i have heard referred to most often as the mystical "iPhone killer" from the now infamous quote. certainly if VZW takes that approach and loads it up with all the multi media stuff, you might end up with a pretty comparable phone for several hundred dollars less than the iPhone, and it's on the superior network to boot.

and your daughter will hate you because it's not the kewl phone...

My company is being added to the VZW tech board. We were told today by VZW that the i760 will be released either next week or the week after that. No later than 9/14.

Exactly what I was gonna say. Getting her the Prada instead of the iPhone would be like getting her a Kia when all her friends have BMWs. Trust me, if you want your daughter to speak to you again before she's 30, you'll get her an iPhone, or something completely unlike it - don't try to rationalize. However, you can save yourself money and get the 4GB one - she can lie about that.
