7:40AM PST I get a call saying that the powers to be are deciding to launch it for the Labor day week sale. So let's see if this happens. I should have a unit in hand four days before sale starts. I will post as many pics as possible and screen shots and whatever else that fancies us all here. Sorry MR I was going to PM you first but I have to run off now as I am typing this on the "other phone" while driving.
Thanks for the latest rumblings from above! That is quite the turn of events vs what we heard about late September / early October. Lets hope its true. When you say Labor day week, Im assuming you mean Sept 4-7th?!

That is great news equus! Thanks for updating us so quickly, now all we can do is wait and see
good point! i have my home network set to G only to increase speeds - mixing B and G devices can degrade network speed. that would be kind of a bummer to have to go to a mixed network again.
I'm 98.2% sure that's standard on all WM6 devices.
That is what I thought, but you think they would have listed this as an application or feature. The only comment on WLM is on page 105 of the manual and it is reference to data usage.
Does anyone know if the i760 comes with the latest version of Live Messenger ? I couldn't find anything in the manual.
You would think it would be included, but I just got the new Motorola Q9M running WM6 Standard and Verizon has stripped Windows Live and Live Messenger out of it!
One thing about the manual - the spelling is terrible. It must be a draft and is certainly not the final version, e.g. "Customizing your touch sensative pad"
Not a problem at all actually...Mark...try a google or yahoo search for SGH-i760 and you'll see in virtually every post that has any comments, the majority say they think the SCH-i760 looks ugly and the SGH-i760 looks beautiful not just nice. I don't really know why you act all constipated with all your snide remarks, but if you check out what I'm saying instead of look down at me from your on high coffee cup, you'll see I'm not the only one on the web that says that.
All I'm saying is last I looked this is the SCHi730 list not he SCH list.
Take it to the SCHi730 forum. How many times do the mods have to tell you?

Thanks very much for scoring the manual, dangerous.
Looks like about 17 Bluetooth profiles supported on the i760. This group seems to be about half of the total number that exist. We should try to focus on Bluetooth to determine
1) what' s been left out that's useful,
2) how many profiles are resident in the i760 vs competitive devices (HTC PPC-6800 (Mogul) / XV6800, P4550/Kaiser/Tilt, etc.), and
3) whose Bluetooth stack is deployed in the i760 (equus?).
Finally, we note VZW's slight emphasis on Bluetooth printing (BPP profile) in its intranet feature-set. We've touched on this briefly in the past and it's gratifying to see it supported. The advent of integrated/embedded PPC printing capability opens up a whole new set of opportunities for mobile warriors. A nice gift.
(Note: Bluetooth printer optional at extra cost, lol.)

P.S. The choice of Picsel's file viewer, as opposed to its file viewer/browser combo, must have been a cost thing (the file viewer-only is probably a whopping $1.50 cheaper). Bad call, Sammy/VZW.
