mrailing, you are just mad that Ethan won't talk to you. LOL
I just can't talk to Ethan, and again can't go in to reasons why at the present time, or possibly in the future. Anyway, I should hear from him either Thursday or Friday.

Need help setting up your i730/i830 or other WM2003/WM5 Phone, as well as the other hacks I have done, check out the MRailing Guides and Links
Total new guy here. Never had a PDA phone or blackberry before, though feel one would make my life easier in several respects. I have seen the i760 through photo's on line, followed this thread for a while, etc.
Here is my question. I am looking a phone with Email capabilities (send and receive), I would like to be able to store and send work documents (word, PDF, excel), I am also very interested in WiFi capabilities to be able to search the net, etc.
Is the i760 the right phone for these applications? Is it worth waiting for? Am I better off with a blackberry?
I am currently with Sprint, but want to go to Verizon. I am in the NYC area and Verizon seems to have the best coverage here.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Like I said....totally new at this, so please tell me if the i760 is the wrong device for me.

Right device, wrong thread. I would create a new thread in this forum for your question. You will probably get a lot of "it's not out yet so it's hard to tell" answers, though.
Actually, can knock out this stuff in a NY minute, lol. Managing a construction project that almost couldn't be done w/o the ix30. The least I can do is contribute.
Just researched in the field on this thing the arcane art/science of "masory wall bracing" (NO engineering standards existed for such work until '96!); as a result, convinced a building inspector that a 40x12' brick wall could be braced with triangular supports in lieu of demolition. $aved big money and time...
On 08/07/07, we observed an important moment in the story of PDAPhH. This thread is now the longest in our community's history--and hyperactive by any measure!...

P.S. This op-ed piece, like virtually all of my messages, is mobile. How about you?
Alas another off topic post ... but a milestone that should not be overlooked! It is these off topic posts that bring me to this thread... they breathe life into the joy and frustration we emote as we wait for the next best thing... I just got back from vacation and I couldn't just jump to the last post... I had to read from where I left off... because I wanted the story as it unfolds!

Ethan has been sent into excile due to violations of his NDA...

Just heard from my business rep. I'm getting a 6800 next week to demo. They said still no word on the i760 being available for demo. This must mean that the 6800 will be coming out first.

This is consistent with the spreadsheet that leaked. No date for the 760 and next week for the 8600.

gotcha. mis read the spreadsheet . sigh. My corp rep is stating mid sept now, bleh.
Did he state any date previously? In other words, most reps say they know nothing. If he previously said nothing and now says September, that's better than nothing, I guess.
I just got a response from mine, he said he "doesn't have any real info, which probably means it's not coming this month". Which is what he said last month about this time.
My own super-insider source just leaked that VZW has actually been using the release of the i760 to conduct a massive social experiment. The premise of the experiment was to discover how long a group of hopeful people would continue to talk about and hype a product with no real evidence that the product was actually going to be released. The source was vague regarding what VZW's motivation for such an experiment would be.

VZW really wants to see how long it can string along a group of its most die-hard users before they jump ship, or announce intentions to do so. it's an experiment to see how much money they have to pump into customer loyalty programs. so far, Big Red has a pretty good retention percentage.
well my rep has consistently said Sept. over the last month....so thats what I am hoping for....I'm going on a business trip on the 11th so I hope its before then....if not I may do a trial with the 6800!!!
~the september ryno....
