This reminds me of a spreadsheet we saw not too long ago... the general consensus seems to be that the lines without dates do not necessarily correspond to a date above or below them... they're not exactly section headers. Notice how the dates aren't in order. (there's a 9/4 between the 8/16 and the 8/20)
Unfortunately we can't assume a particular date from this sheet, but at least we know they are actually planning on releasing it eventually!
Unless "launch" means they're going to take the whole stock and shoot it off into space so no one gets one...
i took that as the ones with no date have no so called set release date like the last spreadsheet we saw maybe im wrong of course some of you guys know alot more than me
This bromide of "VZW hasn't announced new PPCs and owes subscribers nothing," while still legally defensible, doesn't cut it. What's wrong with self-righteous conceit is that it comports with neither a carrier's duty of care nor free market economics.
The problem is anti-competitive arrogance, and all US carriers are guilty. The technology is available to
1) support wireless devices of enormously greater capability than we get, and
2) roll them out not every two years, but continuously.
In a rational environment, we wouldn't be complaining. Our choices would be overwhelming.
For starters, HTC, MOT, palm, RIM and Sammy would each release at least two PPCs for CDMA every six months. Even Nokia and SE would probably weigh in. And new players would emerge like flies.
Best of all, every new device would drop within days of FCC approval. No more late releases of then-stale hardware.
Remember, in the US, CDMA represents over 125mm subscribers. If 10% are potential PPC users, then 12.5mm units are up for grabs (probably annually). At an average selling price of $300, it's a $3.75B market; at $400, it's a $5B market. Everyone wants in on the action.
Calling Mark_A_K! Liberate devices from the tyranny of carrier control, and Let Freedom Ring.
The source of the spreadsheet confirms that if a device does not have a date next to it, then it is TBD.
Bummer. Maybe the "delay" we heard about it for real and we are looking at September (or later).
I may have to go for the 6800...
Oh, and if you are already with VZW, the return thing is 15 days, not 30. 30 day returns are for new customers. Unless, of course, you leave and come back...

No, its 30 days. Thats the new worry free guarentee. New or existing customers. I just upgraded phones last month and I was told 30 days. I know its 30 because I know some people that work at Verizon and they can verify that it in fact is 30 days.

I whole heartedly agree BAM, that's why I believe EVERY CELLULAR TELEPHONE USER in the US GSM or CDMA, data or not, needs to get behind this.
Skype currently has a petition before the FCC http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/prod/ecfs...ent=6518909730 to enforce the "CarterPhone" ruling (That's the one that made AT&T let folks use phones manufactured by someone else) for Cell phone service providers. I urge everyone take a look at the Skype petition, and do anything you can to support it.

If you want to support the Skype petition – click here to file comments with the FCC directly (it is quite easy – would not take more then a minute. Put ‘RM-11361’ in field 1. Document type is ‘Comment’ and you can type your thoughts in the bottom. Pretty straight forward)

I also recall that most folks came to this conclusion.
So, as we have all seen by now, the 6800 looks as if it will beat the 760 to market. I am looking forward to hear from Michael to help us understand how to position the latest rumors.
If the 6800 comes out "weeks" before the 760, and since we do not know if the 760 will be able to support Rev A, while we have no reason to believe that the 6800 will not; and since Rev A seems to be a key focus of "the network company", than clearer rumors of the release of the 760 and what it contains will help me determine my choice of devices. I read with great anticipation for any possible updates Michael may be able to share with us.

I am in the dark. Still waiting to hear from Ethan about stuff, but this is why Verizon doesn't ever release any information about devices. Things change, and they don't want you impatient people calling every day (even though we do anyway) to find out about the devices and why they missed a deadline.
I have played with a Mogul, it's nice, but I want the i760. I want the outside number pad. I want the Samsung build quality. I have no problem waiting for it's release, and if it is never released, or not out by October, then I might try out the Mogul, but that's a rare chance.

.
Ive gotten my rep to read hofo and this site and I called him as soon as I saw the posting of the picture...he sighed and didnt even say hello when i called him ( i call about 2x-3x a week) and goes " I know i saw it, i dont have one in my hands yet"
I wish my rep would at least talk with me like that. He just blows me off..."sorry, no news." That's it.
So far I've been very dissapointed with the VZW reps I've dealt with. They talk a big game....then ignore you if you don't have 1000+ lines. Oh well, these guys at least return my calls and e-mails....the last rep didn't even do that.
BTW, check my new sig. Wanna use your Sprint phone on VZW or vice versa? Click the link and support the FCC filing by Skype.

so your deadline is just later than the rest of us july/august ship-jumpers. i knew you had to have one.
