That shouldn't be. I did a hard reset a while ago and it didn't delete my WinMo 6.1. It did however erase my 8 gb sd card (which I forgot to take out), which I'm still pissed about because it had about 4 gbs of music/videos/movies and games.

You are scaring me. I'm actually considering hard resetting as I'm having some stability issues and I'd like to start from scratch, but not 6.0 scratch.

I did a hard reset on mine a few weeks ago, when I go to settings\system\about it still reads Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.

mine boots up as 6.1 and in settings/system/about it still says 6.1. But when I go to the settings/system/version I get the codes I listed above and they don't match what I am supposed to have according to the sticky about installing 6.1.

Can someone confirm that the version I listed isn't 6.1,
pda i760.07 v.bj10.19202
phone i760.07 v.bj10

I tried to reinstall 6.1 and it said that it couldn't do it because it was already installed?

A hard reset won't revert the OS to an earlier version... You are looking at the "Version" applet in the settings and those are the same settings I have for the firmware of the Phone. I believe that is the most recent. to confirm your OS version go to "About" in the settings. It should indicate WM6.1.
