1 Unread Message won't go away!

have an SCH-i760 and in the today screen it says 1 unread SMS message(s). Now I have deleted every message and it still stays. It happened when my phone was all screwed up and I got a message during it. I have tried a soft reset and an attachment on this forum to fix the -1 SMS message problem. Anyone know how to fix this?

maybe try changing the value of this setting in the registry to 0

HKCU\System\State\Messages\SMS\Unread\Count

Do you have a notification on the home screen? If so, select it and delete it or mark as read.

call verizon it may be a problem with receiving the message during low service, this happened to me with a voicemail, phone said I had one but there were no unheard messages. they disabled all of my texting, sent me a text message and then re-enabled all of my messaging, that fixed it. If the verizon guy explained it to me right, notifications of messages are sent like text messages, and can become hung in their system.
