Here is a link to the Samsung B7610 (and others) Announcement Site. There is an area for comments and questions. I think we all need to hit it and ask questions about availability in the US.

I started a "rumor/release" thread on this, but I hardly see the need to have two since we've already laid some groundwork here. Anybody know how to change the name of this thread so I can delete the other?
Official Rumor/Release thread for the Samsung OmniaPRO B7610
If I recall only a Mod or the original poster can change the name of a thread.. I remember doing it by editing the Original Post and changing the Title. You may have to delete your other "Rumors" thread first so there is not a conflicting name...

Edit.. I just tried it on another thread I created and that works

I bought the I730 on day 1 when only business customers could purchase it and it was llisted at $699.99 with a 2 year contract. It ended up costing me about $250 total.
I dont remember the going price of the I760 but it cost me right at $100 with the I760, cradle, car charger, and an extra sync cable.
Just figure out how much your phone carrier makes off of your phone bill with data usage each month. I do not know how much VZW or other carries pay for phones but I bet it is less than have of MSRP street price.
Here is my question on the Samsung Site and the Crappy Answer. Combine “Work and Play” With The New Omnia Series Samsung Newsroom

When will verizon have it available.

For information about accessories for the Omnia Pro B7610, please visit a local cell phone retailer store or website. At this time, there are no plans to bring the Omnia Pro B7610 to the U.S.
is not good news. Anybody hearing anything at all?

Not to be redundant but when is the B7610 going to be released in the US? And who will be the carrier?

Definitely not what I was hoping to see there.
PLEASE, BE redundant... perhaps if more of us post our interest someone will notice there IS a market for this phone in the US.

I have already placed 3 questions there. The latest one asking why are they saying it isn't coming to the US. Technology, Inadequate Manufacturing capability? Tell us why
Lenny
What is preventing one from buying it in Sweden, or wherever, and then brining it back to the states, and using it the US?

Nothing... but a lot of users don't have the resources to go to Europe and buy one at a non contract Price. Also support through a carrier is nice. nothing worse than to pay a full non contract price for a phone that has issues with the network you trying to connect it to. The carrier is not going to give you much support. As much as we all have to gripe about Verzion's long certification process they do make sure their phones are well tested for their network.

I posted a comment asking why it wasn't going to be release in the US.
The daily resets on the 760 are getting old. I think she is showing her age and NE2 is just around the corner... seems like it has been a loooooong time since we have seen anything new in the way of VZW WM pda phones. Are they too focused on teh BB side?
