Red to Blue?

I now plan to wait until the Saga is released, and ask that it be my replacement. If they offer me an Omnia or 6850, I will consider. Otherwise, I am seriously considering switching to A T & T. GSM phones are always more powerful, get updated more frequently, and are the world standard (until 4G I guess). Sick of Verizon having worse phones than the other 3 US carriers.

Got my replacement i760 from Asurion today, after installing most of my apps I realized I couldn't connect to the internet so I called Vzw tech. Told the lady what was happening and she tried some things then found a document on her end saying that new versions of Samsung phones (something about phones with IMED? # behind the battery I think) cannot connect to the internet so Vzw has pulled them for the time being and Samsung is working on a software resolution. My replacement phone from Asurion did not have an IMED # so we tried a hard reset and as far as I can tell everything is working correctly now.

Well, I called again today, and have a 6800 on the way.........They said the i760 is not available anymore. Maybe I can make a case for one of the new phones comming out if I hate this one! P.S. I tried, and tried, but still lost my NE2.............

you might have the same problems and new ones with that phone as well time will tell you will get a warranty though . Although I do like the number pad on the i760 but i may be interested in BB storm just think windows mobile has given up on innovation.

All of the problems I had on the i760 (often wouldn't wake up, screen dark spots, paint peeling, random lockups, slow in general, etc) are gone on the replacement 6800 I got... sure there are still some little things, but overall I'm very happy with the switch.

I'm suprised, they changed out my 760 with a 6800 but it didn't affect my ne2.

What are the Issues

So I have an Early i760 with an ESN. I upgraded it to Wm6.1 and have always had minor problems i.e. screen not waking up/ having to soft reset.
But as of late my calls have been being dropped randomly and more frequently. Just says that I lost service, and Im instantly disconnected from my calls. Then a few seconds later, I have all my bars again and can redial whoever I was talking to. This is in Downtown and around Austin,Tx. SO I know there is good coverage. I have the data plan and use it much, but I notice that alot of the time I only have 1rt not EV indicated in the top bar.
I ve done the *228 many times, but don't really notice anything different?
My Wife has the BBPearl same Network. She gets her texts instantly, mine are sometimes delayed. Her service bars are always greater than mine; and in many circumstances when I have none, she can still make/recieve calls.

Is this the Issue that Verizon/ Samsung are notating?

Well I got the 6800 today! I actually really like it! The screen is alot sharper, but I think that has to do with the way samsung did the touch screen on the I760. I upgraded it to the WM6.1 update, and put a dialer on it(PDG touchFlo 2d dialer) It is really nice with big buttons! The REV A data is noticeable faster! The phone as a whole seems to run better/snappier! But of course this is the first day! We shall see!

P.S. VZNav works well also!
