yeah, I'm using that dialer too along with icontact and manila 2d.... which runs surprisingly well. Touchflo apps never ran that well on the i760, but manila2d is a joy on the 6800.
Called Verizon today, and Tech said even when the new phones come out in November the only replacement for the I760 is the xv6800. How long do u think till there is no stock on the 6800......lol Ohh, and he said if they give me a 6800, i loose my NE2! Thats retarded!

Just to share my story. Verizon told me they would give me a 6800. I told them no and they offered me basically any phone I wanted. I wound up with a BB and my contract was never extended. I'm eligable for the NE2 at the same time as before plus I have a 1 year warrantly for the BB. I think this is standard procedure for how Verizon is handeling their exchanges.

Hmmm...weird! He said my contract wouldn't be extended, but I would loose my NE2. Any phone huh..........I'm really eyeballing that Omnia!

The 760 is (was) basically their top of the line phone, so offering any phone is the ethical thing to do. Whether every CustServ drone actually WILL do that is another matter, but the squeaky wheel gets the grease, as they say... MY choice will probably be the Saga, as it allows the easiest phone dialing, but the other WM6 phones do have some nice screens...
For what its worth, I spent an hour with tech assistance today doing pointless troubleshooting on my dying i760 with the end result being the offer to bring my phone in to the nearest store for an "upgrade". No more i760's to exchange, but I'm supposed to get an equipment upgrade, whatever that means. It better not mean a 6800. Not interested. May wait it out until Raphael or Omnia.
Verizon WILL run out of 6800s. The Touch Pro will be called 6850, and is slated to replace it. The reason I expect to make a case for a Saga (as opposed to 6850, which I have not totally ruled out), is that it has a keypad on the front, integrated into the QWERTY keyboard. They can't just foist a 6800 onto people who specifically bought the 760 because of that feature. (Well, they CAN, being a giant evil corporation and all, but they shouldn't.) So, assuming that Saga, Omnia, and 6850 all come out in November as planned, patience is the word of the month.
Even though I got my 6800 (my i760 warranty was about to expire), do you think I could get a Saga or something else when they come out by going back and complaining that the lack of front buttons made the 6800 an inadequate replacement? I guess it's worth a shot.
^^Yes, the Storm IS touchscreen (the first BB touchscreen).
I spent an hour on the phone yesterday with tech support and local stores, I was told that the i760 was in stock for replacement only. No more new sales, but if you have an i760, they have i760's for replacement....again........
Not sure how much truth there is to that, but I was told that by about 3 people.
I was on the phone with them for an hour yesturday also, and I got the guy to check, and he said they DIDN'T have any! Can't they get there $hit straight? lol

They are a big company blanketing the whole continent, with distribution centers that tell the frontline people different things depending on where they are... so NO... the have to much $hit to be able to keep it straight... That's why we can work the system to our advantage often because the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing!

They are probably trying to unload as many 760s as they can, as well as 6800s, before they get the new replacement phones in November (770 (Saga) and 6850 (HTC Touch Pro/Raphael)). Once those are released, they may have discretion which phone to offer you, but I plan to yell a bit until they at least offer me one of those. I might settle for an Omnia, but I read that it has a non-standard screen resolution, which will probably -- knowing the big V -- introduce its own problems with software compatibility.
Has anyone tried replacing their phone through Asurion? I dropped my i760 and broke the LCD today, so I just finished filing the claim. I would guess that Asurion has their own stock of phones so they would not be limited by Verizon pulling them, although it will cost me $50 which is a small price to pay for not having to downgrade to the 6800. I also noticed that Samsung is still selling the i760 through their website at Samsung Mobile Phones Store. It's curious why the manufacturer hasn't pulled the phones if they are that bad.
I just ran my I760 through the washing machine on Sat. Verizon store manager said a 6800 would be the replacement. I filed with Asurion and recieved a "refirbed" I760 yesterday. It was already upgraded to 6.1, did have a different set of numbers under the battery. But everything actually seems to be working great. I will keep the replacement til the Storm comes out then sell my I760 lot.
just got off the phone with vzw tech told him my issues he is sending me another i760 told him I had it replaced before and would I have the same issues with the new one he said no that it is phone related I tried to get a different phone he said it would be my new every 2 and would cost me money oh well I will see what phone pops up in the mail
