We do not get the nifty Vista look stuff cuz we are "professionals" it is explained in a couple threads. Shame hope we can get it somehow.

I used to be able to use my work email as a pop 3 with 6.0, and my coworker has the i760 with 6.0 and uses his work email. Now with 6.1, I can't get my email to work even though I have the same exact settings as before.

Installed 6.1 ok, required one restart of the installation program on the PC side. Then all was ok. Everything seems to work, thus far.

However, I cannot find a way to activate the so-called 'slide menu' Today screen. There is no option for that in Today settings. Am I missing something? Is this only for Smartphones?

i am not sure if HTML email rendering is working correctly. I do see links but I do not see photos and other images in emails. I feel cheated. I sent formatted email through Outlook that included pix and color background and they did not show up. Thoughts?

The upgrade went flawlessly, I thought. For the last day I did not recieve any text messages but then someone called and asked why I did not reply to the texts. I never recieved them. I called Verizon and was on the phone for almost 2 hours and they could not figure it out. Anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you fix it?

Ask them to re-authenticate the phone. After my upgrade I could not make calls or text. Dial #8899 and you will get a tech.

I just realized the Threaded SMS is nice but the time's that are displayed on the incoming don't match with the times that i send.
IE.
I sent a mesaage at 9:34PM and my friend (neighbor) send a reply and it display's 2:34pm.

that exact same thing was happening to me and drove me batty....I am not sure what fixed it but here is what i did...I changed the timezone setting....and then I did a *288 updated software...and then *288 and updated roaming capabilities....did a soft reset and well .....later that day it was working...and has been since...but I put up with the wrong timestamp for 3 days....good luck!

Thanks. i will give it a try. I know the Arizona Auto Time Zone doesn't work, maybe that is causing problems. are you in AZ by chance?

Those of you looking for the new Vista looks.. yeah we got screwed, it looks the same as WM6. I did a bit of researching to find a good theme so I had *something*, so maybe this is a consolation prize..

It's a free theme that has a vista look to it, so I use this one.

Anyone else having problems with the phone not waking up from powersave mode? It's not consistent, but on several occassions, the phone just won't come back on. I have to pull the battery and power back on. It's done this about 10 times or so.

Not having this prob. I did go into Verizon store for another purpose and they flashed the firmware without asking me though. I have been having delays after screen taps and had to hard reboot a couple of times. Seems better now. Vertical scroll bar in landscape mode is still not working. This is true in dialogs as well as full screen. Any thoughts on that appreciated.

Mine was coming ON rather than off, whenever I removed it from my leather belt pouch (magnetic). I realized it was the magnet doing it and that the keyboard turns on the device magnetically. SO now i put the phone in the pouch with the screen side facing OUT and it's no longer a prob.

Since I've upgraded to 6.1, the today screen only shows the next appointment. I used to have it show all upcoming events in the next 24 hours or longer. The appointments are in the calendar when I open it, they're just not showing up in the today screen. Any hints or tips?

Have you ever tried TodayAgenda. I find it immeasurably useful (nearly limitless configuration options) and it's free.

The standard screenshot there does not do it justice. You can fully adjust the way information is displayed including font size/color + the amount of Today Screen space it takes up etc.

This has happened to me several times. I think part of it has to do with it going into sleep mode while it's downloading from Mail, whether Pop or Outlook. and it gets confused.

Seems it has happened to me about about 10 times and it's when i try to wake it up shortly after it goes to sleep.

OH. Use your Stylus and stab the Hole (with KEYBOARD OPEN) that is left of the FN key. you dont' need to pull the battery.
