Since my upgrade the battery life is getting sucked down while it's turned off. It was fully charged this morning. I might have turned it on to check messages four times so far today and it's down to 60% and it's not even noon. I accidently posted this in the wrong forum so I moved this here. Is anyone else having battery life problems?

No ClearType In Landscape

Was this the same as with 6.0?

For some reason, I thought I previously had ClearType in landscape before, but I'm not 100% sure.

Any 6.0 users that haven't upgraded can confirm this?

Thanks,

Yes, I noticed the same thing. My extended battered drained quickly, so I have the smaller one in today. It's down to 60%. I notice the battery drain is much faster when surfing the net. One thing I noticed that with 6.1 when surfing the net, my EV bars will start out at 1 to 2 and then increase to 3 or 4 when on the net. Never did that with 6.0. I wonder if the radio upgrade is causing the faster battery drain.

Well, I made it to 4 oclock today and it shut down from a dead battery. Without even making a phone call. I uninstalled PP and PocketMax and I'll see what happens. Maybe one of those programs was keeping it alive for some reason.

Was your phone completely turned off, or in sleep mode? Also, how strong is youe EVDO signal? I know with my dumbphone as well as with this phone, the EVDO/1x signal is not all that strong in my house. My old phone would drain fairly quickly as the radio would flip a lot between the two. That happens even in sleep mode, and will drain a battery. Now with the radio upgrade on this phone, I wonder if that problem is now occurring with my sammy.

my phone finally started working semi-correctly after i fixed my sms and also reauthenticated my phone by calling verizon. now the only problem i'm noticing is that although my phone works with my new 8 gig memory card, it is causing some problems. If i DON'T have the card in the phone, the voice command feature works flawlessly. if i have DO have the memory card in the phone, everytime the voice command starts, it claims that there isn't enough memory and it shuts down the voice command feature. anyone else notice this problem? i've tried hard resetting and dialing *228....

I have also noticed the battery draining in my i760 since the upgrade 2 days ago. Much faster than it did when WM6.0 was installed. Anyone have a complete list of what was "fixed" in WM6.1?

Update: After reapplying all the tweaks I had been using in WM6.0, battery performance is much better than it was immediately after the upgrade. The battery now lasts the entire day with about 50% left. I still recharge it each night.

Actually I have noticed my battery has lasted longer. However I was in an area where I would have no signal except in certain places at one of my customers sites. Yesterday in their building I could not find any signal except when on my belt walking around it would randomly get a text message.

I like how it didn't kill my battery but I want service inside buildings!

I uninstalled SPB Pocket Plus 3.5 and PhoneAlarm 1.67 and the problem seems to have gone away. I took it off the charger last night before I turned in and it still had about 90% when I got up this morning. So one of those programs was doing it. When I installed them I imported the settings from my previous set up. I'll try a clean install and set up from scratch and see what happens. It looks like I can get a free upgrade to PP 4.0 too.

The dreaded phantom voicemail is back!

I seem to have inherited the dreaded phantom voicemail indicator after the upgrade. It says I have a voicemail then I call and it says no new messages. Same as with the i730. Strange.

General slowdown

Menus seem to respond much slower after the upgrade. Could be a problem with something I have loaded but they are the same programs I had with 6.0

Lose connection with micro sd card

I seem to lose connection with my micro sd card more often now. I have Icons for I launcher on the card, as I always have, and the icons fail to appear on the Today page more often then with 6.0

anyone having problems with the look? I just bought a brand new i760 yesterday and immideatly upfraded to 6.1 and everything seems fine, but the look seems exactly like the 6.0 not that whole vista look its suppose to have. The version of software says 6.1 too and the other functions work.
Im new to this phone, any reason for this?

Have an mp3 file I use for a ring tone.
Every time I set it for ring tone, it always defaults and goes back to the default wav file.

This happens with WM 6.1 and Pocketalarm

Any ideas?

Got a new little "bug" that didn't exist previously: I use Ultimate Launch; links to apps that are on the SDHC card used to be "live" on reboot (using the SDHC.cab hack for my 4G card); they are now "blank" in UL, presumably because the SDHC is slower to "wake up". I have to "reinitialize" UL for them to work. Nice not to need a hack for the 4G; bummer on this.

Any ideas?

I am having this same problem. All of a sudden my programs on my card won't load and it gives an error until I reset the phone.
