Anyone having issues with the correct iconic representations of software applications that are installed on the external card and that are placed on the start menu not appearing as they should after a soft reset?

Hmmm. I have noticed that some of my pocket plus icons were disappearing. First it was a variety of icons. The second time, it was only the icon for the one program installed on the memory card (which I didn't think about until your post). I've never installed much on memory card before, but maybe there's something to it.

If you are doing an email or text and you don't get the auto complete list hit the space bar and you will see a black box at the bottom and then you can choose it from there. I had it like that before and now I have the old way with the list.

Same problem here. In my Start Menu, the icons for programs that are installed to the card like TomTom are not showing up.

There is a thread for it also but I'm not sure if this is WM6.1 only or not?

Mark_A would love this. I have 2 New I760's on the way due to a "bug" with the update. i don't think the new one (phones) will be fixed. I will say that the verison VZW had was slightly different than mine. I think i'm running BD14 and their version was Ax something.

The version VZW had in the lab it worked fine.

Can you confirm this? We need to hear from someone that used the "official" upgrade posted on VZW's site. Are the software versions different? If so, there may be benefit to those who upgraded with the BD14 version..

This was on Verizon's site... it's the same version number as I installed from Samsung.

"Samsung i760 Maintenance Release 2 Customer Notes
Approved: 7/02/08
Posted: 7/16/08
Firmware Version: i760.07v.BD14
Below is the description of the Updates, Additions, Improvements, and Fixes of the Samsung i760 MR2 Update;
1.
Updates - Operating System Windows Mobile 6.1
2.
Adds - Direct open capability to PDF attachments from e-mails. Previously you had to save the PDF to the device before you can open it.
3.
Adds - YouTube video playback using Windows Media Player. Previously when you click on a YouTube video clip it would not open and an error message would display “Video format not supported.”
4.
Improves - Time Zone auto adjustment. Previously the device did not automatically change based on the Time Zone indicator.
5.
Fixes - Multiple Bluetooth connection issues (Pairing, and BT DUN).
6.
Fixes - Picture Message receive issues. Some MMS messages were not being received due to the process in which EMS messages were rejected.
7.
Fixes - Device lock-up issues. Addressed multiple memory management issues that cause the device to become unstable."

This is a known Pocket Plus problem. Technically, the current version of PPlus is not compatible with 6.1. However, mine works fine, I just have to refresh tabs sometimes to get icon images back in Plus. SPB has not upgraded Plus yet, so they aren't responding t issues with 6.1 til they upgrade their s/w

I had not noticed this about the PDF since the upgrade, but it will be a welcome fix.

Version before update is 1.0.5 3514. So I guess they did update it, but don't know of any changes.

With 6.1 I am now able to use my phone tethered via Bluetooth. WM 6.0 would disconnect whenever there was a lapse in data transfer. With WM 6.1, the phone goes to "dormant" when there is no active data transfer.

The new BT drivers work much better than the 6.0 drivers.

Posted from a rental car on I-265 south from my Dell D430 tethered via BT.

Selling on eBay

Instead of upgrading to 6.1, I want to sell this thing on eBay. Anyone know how to wipe my phone number out of the phone? A hard reset leaves the phone number in.

Why not wait a couple or three months and get the Touch Pro? That should be a sweet phone.

Must do a full re-sync every time I connect.

I'm running Vista 32 on my Dell Inspiron E1505. After the upgrade every time I try to sync I get a message saying the server has changed and it must start over from the beginning. Very Very annoying! Anybody seen this happening?
