Need help from Slingbox users

Hey guys, I just got a slingbox and it works fine for awhile, but after a while all of a sudden both the phone and evdo turn off and it says cannot connect, than it turns back on and I can use it again. Anyone else have problems like this? Any suggestions? I obviously have an unlimited data plan.

It usually happens when I have 4 or 3 bars in the middle of town. Streams fine then quits and disconnects all radios.

There is a new version. I downloaded it yesterday and mine seems to work fine. Especially when I want to watch in landscape mode. It did not work will in other than portrait prior to this new version.

Sounds like you just don't have a good connection to begin with. Mine has always worked great, but you do get intermittent breaks when coverage drops, doesn't always drop the connection, may just be a pause in the show.

Kudos on finally having a version work with horizontal display!

No, like I said it works fine for like 20 minutes. I am in a city with full evdo coverage. It will stream, then all of a sudden all radios turn off, so both the tower and evdo icons have x's on them, then they reconnect.

You might have a hardware problem. Does it happen when you are connected to other high bandwidth activities? Do you notice if you device gets hot?

Not sure about the hotness, but it has done this before when browsing the web, but didn't do it very often. I might just call and get a warranty replacement, since I still have till june. Anyone know if the warranty replacements are new or not?

I do not know if it is new or a refurb, but it has to be better than what you have now. You seem to have a bandwith challenged radio. From your description, it sounds like it is hardware related.
