The links posted won't run and the links in the original link won't work either.
I believe I'll be waiting for a little more info from VZW or Sammie

I read it's for Vista 32bit, that leaves us 64bit users in the cold.

Vista 64bit is supported it seems. i have not tested it with the actual device, but in the modem drivers there are 64 bit drivers. as for the 6.1 update installer, i dont see why it wouldn't work in 64 bit vista. as long as you have the 64 bit versions of the WMDC and the modem driver then i think you should be fine

I tried it just now on Vista 64, and it seems the update setup doesn't recognize that I have Windows Mobile Device Center open.

It looks like the 6.1 and pda part of the update worked for you guys, but possibly not the phone software part of the update... you have the old version for the phone s/w. Odd...

everything went pretty smooth here!! here's a question for you that is boggling my mind...any figure out how to set up an imap account yet? it defaults to only pop3 with gmail and wont let me manually put in server settings until after the account as already been set up, which seems to not work since it already says its pop3???

I got the update done on the second try. The first time, the PC software said it had stopped and that I needed to soft reset the i760 and restart the updater. Despite what the updater said, the i760 looked like it had been fully updated. Nevertheless, I went ahead and ran the update one more time. The second time proved to be the charm.

I'm too exhausted to play with it now (been working all day long). Hopefully, I 'll have time to play tomorrow.

So, bottom line is that the WM6.1 update was released after Mark_A_K bought his iPhone but before I bought mine.
