Converting Palm to OS

In the process converting Palm Data to OS. After syncing I noticed all the Names in Names Field I had in Palm under Addresses did not transfer over to OS Contacts. There isn't a Names Field there. I have over 600 addresses with names I'm not interested in cutting & pasting into maybe the Note Field of OS. Any other ideas of an easier way to transport this info? thanks

Huh?

Are you trying to say that you're having trouble converting your Palm data to Outlook? You keep saying "OS", but that doesn't make sense to me, since "OS" generally stands for "Operating System", and Palm is in fact an OS itself!

Unfortunately, if that in fact is your problem, I don't know how to help... I have an old Palm unit, myself, and have never figured out how to cleanly transfer my data, either. Actually, I suspect that what I have to do is bite the bullet and buy software designed to make that transfer... it's out there. Check this out, for example: PocketCopy.

Yep - thanks, that what I meant. Trying to transfer to Outlook. Will check out Pocket Copy or cut and paste while watching TV . Minor problem compared to all the new advantages.

I used pocket Copy to transfer my PIM data, and it was very clean. The only issue I had was that the 'custom' fields in the addressbook did not transfer.
