New "Omnia looking" phone at Best Buy

So I was in Best Buy today and swung through the phones and in the Verizon section there was a new Samsung phone sitting there. It didn't have a lable telling about it, there was just a sign that said "Coming Soon".

The phone looked like a smaller Omina but it had a slide out keyboard like the i760, and it had a graphite looking backside. 3mp camera, and a front that had the same look as an Omnia.

Anyone have any clue what phone this was and when its coming out??

It'd make me VERY happy if it were an OmniaPro, but those are GSM and NOT officially released in the US. The Omnia series of phones all have a 5.0MP camera fitted so though it may look like one, it isn't an Omnia. Looks like I may have to swing by BB tomorrow before work.

BTW, where geographically might this sighting have taken place? The Leftist Coast tends to be just a bit behind on releases sometimes.

I am in South Dakota, so I can't imagine anyone is more "behind" then us.

Might be "rogue" scheduled (allegedly) for Sep 13th release.

He did say it was labeled "Samsung" and "coming soon", so my guess is that it wasn't an HTC product.

You're tight I missed the part about Samsung. Then I would agree with the previous poster that it likely is Rogue.

Yes, the phone must have been the Rogue. After watching the youtube video, that was the phone I saw.

Unfortunately the Rogue is NOT a PPC. MobileWeb instead of being able to use IE or other real web browsers. I like the form factor and having the option of a sliding keyboard is what I want. Either Samsung or Verizon chose not to offer the OmniaPro in the US

The specs on BGR say that the Rogue has an OLED screen so taking a peek at a Rogue might give an idea of what an O2 screen will look like in the flesh - hopefully at least as good as what the Rogue has, if not better.
