Saga to Omnia i910
Folks,
I have a Saga that has been replaced 4 times now. I live in a 'marginal' signal area in central NJ (best is 2 bars in my house). Since the OS update, my signal strength fluctuates on a minute-by-minute basis from 0 to 2, and frequently cannot make or receive calls. I am about to call VZW again, and expect them to offer me an Omnia as replacement. I have had every other WinMo phone in the inventory, and the Saga was far and away the best form factor for me since the Treo, but the signal post-update just sucks. I can open google maps and see it jumping between 2 towers every 30 seconds.
So, my question is: with my contract up later this month, and no firm date for the Omnia 2, is the i910 a reliable, usable device for a heavy user? I am not really concerned about the multimedia stuff, just the messaging, contacts, calendar, and phone. Having been used to a physical keyboard, I am worried about the speed of the onscreen. I have the same concern regarding the iPhone.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
