Slow scrollbar response, e.g., in messaging
I just got this phone to replace a well-loved but broken down i730. I am very frustrated by the Omnia's slow response to clicks on the scroll bar. I usually want to scroll down by a page, so I click once in the "trough" below the vertical slider (as opposed to click-and-drag or finger swipe). There's about a second delay before anything happens.
This is a problem in my two most important apps: Messaging (HTML email) and Opera. It is not a problem in other screens, e.g., the list of Programs (Start->Programs). I believe it's because the phone is waiting to see if I double-click then it brings up some font-resizing widget. Double click does nothing in the program list, where the scrollbar responds quickly.
Is there something I can uninstall or disable to make the scrolling quicker? I've searched around here and either failed to come up with the right keywords, or I'm the only one sensitive to this. I hope it's the former. Thanks in advance.
