Any word on WinMo 6.5 on the Omnia?

I'm just wondering if anyone's heard any news on us getting an update to WinMo 6.5.

Yeah, with the leaked ROM you get only GPS but with the official Vzw ROM update (CF03) you get offial unlocked GPS plus supposed bug fixes, etc., and then, if you're daring and don't mind a slight risk of bricking your phone if you screw up, you can go for a cooked ROM with WM 6.5 or stick with WM 6.1. The cooked ROM's toss out a lot of Vzw and Samsung stuff but you get a lot more main memory storage, better performance, and WM 6.5, which you may never officially get for the Omnia I. If your Omnia is a business phone or you value an app like Touch Player, you might not want to mess around with cooked ROM's.

If you don't like a cooked ROM over CF03, you can reflash with CF03 and be back to an official ROM.

Samsung Rep I talked to said the OMNIA is not going to get the newer Bloated OS (6.5). the O2 will. The O2 will be shipped with 6.1 and will be upgradeable.

Did your Samsung rep say when we might actually see the Omnia2?

I run a cooked 6.5 and love it. No issues so far and lots more memory (though never enough)
