I noticed yesterday that the numbering of photos has reset. I had taken 102 photos prior to installing the i910 ROM upgrade (plain vanilla VZW version) so I was into a second storage folder. With the reset, new photos are storing into the original folder, OVERWRITING the photos of the same number. Unfortunately, I sync'd the backup already so I've lost those photos.

Anyone else notice this?

This has happened to me before but only after losing access to "My Storage" which required a reboot to fix. I have not encountered this problem since installing the official update for the phone.
