I don't hear anyone talking about amAzeGPS turn-by-turn GPS software. Its free so naturally I gravitated towards this before trying IGO8 and others, but this is a great piece of software. The other program I don't hear anyone talking about is Wisbar Advanced Desktop 2. This has totally changed that way I use my phone. Anyone using these two pieces of software? How do these compare with other prorams out there?

i have just installed amAze and am really liking it so far. kind of in the middle between bing & google but with much better graphics (3D) and speach. i think voice turn by turn but i have not test driven it yet. i gather that from how much it talked back to me on the map location test i ran tonight.
I tried wba, not intuitive. Looks powerful, but I didn't have time to mess with it much and was a little bummed it isn't easier to setup without a study of the manual.
I didn't realize that the advanced desktop program was customizable until I saw all the custom "WADs". I purposed to dive a little deeper into it. You can make menus that pop up on the screen, buttons, shortcuts, one-touch speed dials, custom on-screen weath info, additional menu pages, etc...
I got my dad, who also has an I910, hooked on this. He was wanting a more logical menu system. I showed him this and said "you can literally create your own menu system with this".
I've got to try AD at some point again... used it long ago and while powerful it was flakey (reminded me of a German car!) currently using Mobile shell, which is now pretty customizable... currently using ms3 and the MS301_WidgetsProPlusUltimate_QVGA from XDA which adds tons of widgets and stuff to the lifestyle page...

Hey, how about a link for those of us who are too lazy to go look for it ourselves?!
Advanced Desktop should ideally be installed to the device memory. Like pwmcmaho said, it can be flakey. Installing it to the device memory takes care of any instability. The program is worth donating a couple of device memory megabytes to.
