SPB Mobile Shell Weather Not Updating

Anyone else having problems with SPB Mobile Shell Weather widget not updating? Started yesterday and haven't had any luck getting it to update. I click "update", it starts a data connection and then returns me to my lifestyle screen. I click on the widget but it hasn't updated and still says "updated: 2 days ago"

Anyone else having this problem?

I have Spb Weather as a plug-in for Mobile Shell 3.0 and also at the same time as a plug-in on an Spb Pocket Plus Today screen tab. My weather source is the DEFAULT source. When I just checked, I had last updated an hour ago and was able to successfully update the weather to within the last minute.

One odd thing I have been noting about forecasts is the high forecast for the next several days 99, 100, 99, and 81 for Sat thru Tues. The last day has been way off from time to time. No way it's going to be a high of 81 in July in Texas with prediction of a clear day.

Thanks Jim, I'll keep poking around and try some soft resets.

I too have that issue of the 4th day forecast being way off so frequent updates are our friend!

Try the latest version of MS 3.01 I had a problem with 3.0. When I upgraded to 3.01 it worked fine.

Probably unrelated but does SPB weather get its data from various sources that you can control? FWIW, WeatherPanel just had a problem the past couple days because weather.com pulled its authentication. Not only did this cause the weather to not update but it caused the app to go nutso constantly connecting to authenticate. It was causing our batteries to drain within a few hours. It's fixed now.

Thought I'd mention it since I don't use SPB myself.

Most programs that get data from the internet like Opera or IE connect to the internet when you click on them if its not already connected. SPB Weather for some reason does not know how to establish a connection. Next time you try it and it won't update, open opera and as soon as your homepage loads close opera and I bet when you open spb weather it says updated less than 1 minute ago. It's pretty annoying especially if you do the hack that disconnects the interenet after x time.
I asked if there was a fix to this on the SPB forums and got the reply "its always been this way deal with it."

It started working again last night. I was over on the SPB Weather forums and others were having a problem too so sounds like an intermittent server issue from wherever they get their info. Interesting that weather Panel was having the same issue at the same time. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions!!
