Txt9 text for Password entry disabled?

using the opera browser i occasionally need to "log in" to certain websites. all entry options are available for the "username" but when i go to enter a password my "text" option is greyed out.

is this happening to anyone else?

i have to switch to a qwerty keyboard option to enter my passwords.

happens to me as well. Everytime I login to my bank or something similar i can use xt9 for the username but as soon as I go to the password field I have to switch to the keyboard.....

i'm guessing this is a bug? or is there some reasoning behind it that i just haven't grabbed onto yet?

Yeah, I've particularly noticed it with Touch Pal (not using Samsung keyboard). I think it's because it's set to enter a space after the word but since it's a password, all you see is ******** Try deleting the last * and see if that works (works with Touch Pal).

jim what i was speaking of was the actual button for "Txt9" is greyed out. if you're using the "Samsung Phonepad" you should see this as well when trying to enter a password.
